2. get some parts
3. go to the smithy
4. ???
5. New heavy meta DPS Weapon
I'm not talking about upgrades, i'm talking about new material weapon with higher damage and different weapon tree.
it's just upsetting that I'm waiting for a new variant of weapon since the start ( you start with bone and ore) So it's just frustrating for me to keep coming back excited after every mission to the smithy only to find out - NOPE! Clear more main story.
Do you remember the exact mission???
I did see a new ore material on the back of the that giant monster.
Upgrade it.
You will see branching options once you upgrade it 2 times or so.
You will have to have fought the monsters though.
Ore path leads to a late story monster so you probably don't wanna go for that for the time being.
Bone/Ore, come in very early
Blacksteel, come in very late
Deviljho, idk why
Workshop, event weapons
but 100% of weapons worth their salt are going to come from an upgrade tree
Pretty much this. Weapon branches will reveal themselves as you unlock the mats for them. Since you just wrapped up the failed zorah magdaros capture you'll be going into the Coral Highlands, which means new mining nodes and 3 new monsters. (Part of me wants to say 4, but I'm sure Clifford doesn't show up in LR Coral.)
If you want all the weapon branches unlocked just focus on getting through the tutorial story.
you start with one of the crafting trees, and you upgrade with the monsters you killed.
killed a bunch of puki puki; you can upgrade your weapon into the puki puki, so it deals poison damage.
if you are playing with heavy slow hitting weapons, stick with raw damage. if you are playing with the quick hitting weapons, then diversify and build elemental ones for each weakness.
