Should I farm Anjanath, or wait till Ratholos?

For starters, I'm not new to MHW, I have played through the entire game and I decided to make a new save.
I right now have finished my 6th or 7th run trying to get Anjanath fang for some easy kills to blast through the Coral Highlands(I am at Ballooning Problems) fairly easily, but have gotten none from it....
So now I am considering just using the electric weapons which are second best for getting through that place and then just farming Rathalos when I get to The First Wyverian.... is that a better choice than dealing with Anjanath?

The save I’m working on is a bow, DB, and IG user. Swift and high damage.

Anjanaths fire weapons are better than rathalos in pretty much every situation. Go for Anji.

Don't farm either. Your current weapons and armour are going to be obsolete once you reach high rank, as it opens up a new tier for both. You're just gonna have to farm all over again.

Weapons are never obsolete. They just need upgrading.

Early game, Anja weapons are very much Risk vs Reward, and I personally dislike the risk aspect, but the Anjanath weapons are all going to have around 20% more Raw Attack and 2x the Fire Attack of their equal rarity Rathalos weapon, at the cost of significantly worse Affinity. Greatswords for example, it's a 40 affinity difference.

I personally prefer Rathalos weapons.

depends on your main weapon. if you play bow definitly make anjanath bow. anja bow is the best fire bow in the game. the r8 KT fire bow is the only fire bow that competes with it and they are kind of even in terms of damage.

Can't speak for every build but I had the LR-Anja Set and now HR-Anja Set + Fate's Ember (Odogaron) forever and haven't seen anything to change my mind other than the likes of Nergigante Armour... I do have the Anja Bow but I don't use that very often and wouldn't know a good bow if it dropped a bag of spiked caltrops on my head.

For me as a low-LBG user, there was no reason to craft Rathalos gear.

For Armor Better Get The Rathalos (Is Still Useful For End Game Content), For Weapon go With Anjanath (High Fire Element (Bow))

but if Low Rank, Craft Anja Armor (Dont Upgrade it) Save The Armor Sphere
and High Rank Still Craft HR Anja Armor, And Dont Upgrade it too, And Try To Get The Rathalos Armor

If in low rank try to get rathalos head and body. Odogaron for the rest. Same in high rank except you'll want the rathalos beta head and body with odogaron alpha everything else.
Try to get to HR 14 ASAP so that you can do code red and USJ blazing azure stars event quests to get the dante armor set and azure starlord set.
