What is the best weapon to craft from him?

The ones I saw were Datura Blade for Insect Glaives and Buon Fiore. I am down for both but IG is more of my type since it is fun! BUT Buon fiore with that 780 raw damage and 480 poison LOOKS POWERFUL.

Anyone mind giving 1 or both weapons review or just personal opinions?

They're all pretty bad due to low raw, bad sharpness (no white) and the fact that poison by itself isn't really great in this game.
The horn is almost ok if you really want support songs since it has earplugs L + health rec L, but you'll have to deal once again with terrible attack values.

If you need a poison element weapon, go on rathian weapon, but poison element isn't really a strong element.. so not recommended.

The hammer is for uh idk attack type not the hunting horn unless I am wrong. But also I am new and come from "Bone" weapons which is like 150-350 damage. I just want a weapon so I can do more damage and farm others more.

I will take a look on how hammer attack style works and decide from there.

I have a lot of materials. Ill make the Datura Blade and farm for better weapons.

Bone weapons are okay and often branch on more powerful weapon trees (Diablos/Hazak).

I used Plume GS for a bit and it was fairly good, the posion while not doing too much damage certainly does help whittle down monsters health bit by bit. Managed to hunt a couple of monsters with that one and the results were pretty nice. Haven't used other of the poison weapons but I can say that the GS was actually helpful :)

EDIT: But I do focus on GS for now, slowly also giving a go with other weapon types.

At that point though you should be using Taroth Crest Poison which is just straight better.

Sorry to say this but, I saw a guide and I love CB so I started from Proto Comission axe to Chrome Guardian I already. I am going to farm Nergigante for Nergal Lacerator and into Devastation's Thorn. It is such an easy build that takes no time and also does way more damage I could do with Daruta Blade.

I finished to Chrome Guardian I in like 6-8 hours while Daruta took 3-4 days.
