Gold and silver crowns

So I am slowly working my way up to 100% achievement completion for this game and while I am at I don't really understand the crown system I think?

Each monster has a smallest and largest size. After the mission you will be given a crown if it is either the smallest or largest. But some are silver and others are gold? What decides when a crown becomes silver or gold? Is silver crown for the size for example the second largest size?

Monster size is randomly decided when they spawn. Some monsters are larger than normal, some are smaller than normal. Silver crowns means its moderately larger/smaller, while gold crowns mean it's much larger/smaller.

There are event quests which offer a higher chance for monsters to spawn in as a gold crown, and some events that are guaranteed a gold crown. For example, Wildspire Bolero has a higher chance of spawning a gold crown of several of the wildspire monsters, while Egg Lovers United has you fighting a giant Kulu-Ya-Ku that is guaranteed to be a large gold crown.

Bronze crowns are not a thing, theres tiny crowns, and silver and gold large crowns

Dont worry, I almost got all of the elders done, been farming them like there's no tomorrow for the hero streamstones

I assure you there aren't. There are only three crown states. Mini, silver and gold.

Well, could've sworn I've seen silver mini a thousand times before, but I can't prove it since I've already gotten gold mini on everything. I'll just take your word for it.

I am literally one mini crown away from having 100% achievements, and I can assure you I’ve never seen a silver mini crown.

For the achieves you need the minis and the gold larges. Silvers are just being ♥♥♥♥♥ teasing you with “ooh almost!”

I am almost done with the miniatures and I can confirm this as well. No silver miniature, only golden ones. I do have a good mixture of gold and silver large crowns though.
