Are you using a transmog mod?

The transmog mod crash is earlier than the character loading screen.

Ok, never had a crash but heard using console armours can cause it. Good to know.

I take it you have been able to get past character screen before?

yeah. i can choose my character. its when im in the loading screen to get into the game and about 80% of the loading bar, it stops and the game crashes. i made a second character and it works fine

this only happened after i beat the last mission for the story. got all my rewards and everything for the quest and after that, it just crashed and havent been able to play that character since

Oh.

Your character is fine. It's your windows install that's the problem.

This is for RE2 remake, not MH, but, it's the same issue and the same fix.

the cut-scenes are fine cause when i use the second character, i have no problems
Seamus Feb 14, 2019 @ 10:45am
Sigh.

The cutscene that is causing your crash is a pre-rendered video.

The opening cutscene on new characters is realtime rendered.

Thus no crash.

i'll give it a try

Seamus Feb 14, 2019 @ 11:36am
Enjoy.

And thank 1990's anti-trust lawsuits for your crash.
