Can it be obtained from the multiplayer Leshen as well? I've already done that god awful ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ solo cross-over mission 3 times and don't want to do it more. It's so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying to the point it makes me wish the Witcher games didn't exist.

Are you breaking the head? You need to actually break the head to even get a chance at it.

Ancient (multiplayer) Leshen and Normal (Solo) Leshen shares the same drop/part break reward. The only difference is that A.Leshen drops Mutagen (and generally more rewards IIRC)

You are mistaken. Ancient Leshen drops Ancient Leshen Antlers. Single player Leshen drops regular Leshen Antlers.
You can check the loot table in-game to confirm

This makes me so sad, I don't even like the Witcher games... Yet they locked an entire armor set and weapon behind a really hard fight from a game series I don't want to play.

Then why would you even do the quest? I felt the same with the behemoth fight and how difficult it was to just find decent teammates, and even though I wanted the armor I just decided not to do the quest.

Yeah, behemoths (drachen) armor are among best High Rank meta, but at least it can be done with multiplayer. Witcher stuff aren't really that good, even the Sns and Dual blades are meh.
