Pierce is the worst lbg ammo type. Elemental ammo is like pierce but better (and they also pierce, the gameplay is the same). MR kulve is the only monster I use pierce instead of elemental
At least one person that gives me useful info... (most others just going "do this instead!" or "these MR lbgs do pierce!" which wasn't my question) So elemental ammo also pierces, good to know. Guess I'll be going elemental then. :P
I already finished Rise on the switch, and played it for a while after the story.
Not what I asked. I don't care that much about gimping my build. Evading reload is fun, doesn't matter to me if I do less damage because of it. But someone else mentioned ele ammo also piercing, which I didn't know yet. So I'll be going elemental.
Some people say the elemental attack scales with raw and to put as much raw attack as possible alongside elemental attack up (attack boost, peak performance etc) and others say to build crit with weakness exploit and critical element (hr rathalos/mr velkhana pieces) + elemental attack up
I use the 1st one and don't even bother with tenderising or crit skills
As for lbgs I think you can find some with rapid fire, end-HR game 2 lunastra upgraded lbgs have fire/ice and water/thunder rapid fire, but you need a ticket from the last optional quest so when you reach there you can post a thread here and people can help
Thanks for the info. :) I'd like to go for a crit build, but I'll see how it goes. (As mentioned in the first post, I don't mind it not being optimal damage, as long as I'm having fun.) As for the quest, I'm going to try it solo first of course. I'm not that new to the game (played 840-ish hours I think?) so I should have a good chance to beat it.
