Why are people so divided between rise and world?
World is good and has amazing visuals for its time and rise is way more of a traditional approach to the monster hunter series. I find both very appealing and will continue to play both games. We need to stop comparing everything and enjoy what's good about each game individually. Tbh the rise community is so terrible it makes no sense. any monster hunter game that I don't have to throw a paintball at the monster to see it on the map is a good one :cta_emo6: :MHRISE_OK: :MHRISE_Felyne:

clunky combat,
Clunky Combat like any other Monster Hunter game before World? The problem truly isn't in the game and it is probably you who dislike this type of gameplay which's not for you. Optimization and such is kind of fine, not much of with it I had a problem with since you do not have to change the resolution each time so I don't find a problem with that.

Co op is yeah, kinda clunky and not that good but at least it is workable and not that bad.

That is the nature of Monster Hunter, slow paced game with a "Clunky" combat in your definition.

Division is trendy in this century. It started with social media, and is now status quo of human condition.

some monster were underwhelming easy in rise compared to world
like rajang
others were a little bit buffed like tobi or the fish

I have an extreme burning undying hatred towards rajang I wish to kill as many as possible in every game, but I agree rajang was way easier in rise imo
You do realize Rajang was a Master Rank monster in Iceborne right? And a High Rank currently in Rise?

While that is right although the problem isn't in the high rank, the problem is HIM. Rajang in Iceborne is for sure more busted than GU but GU was still hard but a little bit more manageable. The Problem with Rise is they made Rajang slower, not having a counter like in Iceborne and having the same hitbox as GU. They nerfed him way too much.

Edit: You could run pretty much circles around Rajang while having no trouble, and even perhaps without the wirebugs. The problem is they nerfed him way too much, they just should've left what they did in GU rather than adjusting its difficulty and add some elements that Iceborne Rajang has.

But that doesn't mean its moves should be nerfed and an easy Monster to fight. It shouldn't be as tough as Iceborne.

That's like saying that Nargacuga's moveset shouldn't be nerfed in Low Rank.
He has the double tail swipe and double tail slam ONLY in High Rank.
Rajang in GU was ONLY G rank and in IB, he was ONLY in Master Rank.
Master/G rank is where they will top off their movesets
Ember 23 ENE 2022 a las 10:19 a. m.
Sure, but he has way too many openings for a high rank monster compared to other returning monsters.

What the hell are they gonna do in G-Rank anyway? Make him faster?

I don't like how with each rendition of the series we, as hunters, become those super human ultimate beings, which can climb walls, fly through the air, CONTROL GIANT ASS DRAGONS, and do those weird super anime ninja moves (hello Rise's longsword users and GEN 5 as a whole dual blades users).

Monsters in Rise look like punching bags for us hunters to abuse.

I didn't play GU yet myself but from what I experienced from Rise, I do agree with you but not to the point of nerfing him too much, he got a heavy nerf where you can pretty much round circle him around, having to taunt each time after he initials an attack. Rajang so far was the least one that gave me trouble in my hunts so far in Rise, he also gives a ton of openings to do, the damage isn't the problem, the speed is. Rajang should be at most closer to its GU iteration as well as having a bit of nerfs here and there, but not to the point of it being that in Rise.

Rajang should've been in G rank in rise in my opinion, but it is what it is, Rajang is quite special in my opinion, he should be that ape who stonks and bonks people.

Edit: High Rank is not much of an excuse to make a Monster easy, I would say Narcaguga like you said in your example, should be nerfed in its moveset but balance it as Rajang failed to do so. Rajang's moves are too slow compared to the nature of the game, therefore making a ton of openings and not having a counter against wirebugs though you could argue with that.

He quite has a point but in Iceborne, he was busted with speed, not sure if AT Velkhana is faster, didn't fight her yet but it is busted more than it should be but I'm loving it. Rise problem is it taunts each time after an attack, creating more openings than usual as well as being noticeable slower than Iceborne, and MAYBE GU, I didn't play it but I heard it is hard but not as hard as Iceborne. So yeah, technically, buffing the speed and kinda remove few of its taunt moves would be good for high rank, G rank would be just him destroying you with no mercy with no time with maybe new moves.

Well that's what always happen everytime a sequel coming to any games with huge community..
Battlefield, fallout, elder scroll, total war, halo, dark souls you named them all, they also have divided groups inside their community, some of them are kinda extreme as well..
Heck another example i found back then is a certain group of people that despise the witcher 3 so bad and defend the witcher 1 & 2 to their last breath..
That's why the best thing to do is just ignore them and enjoy the game you like..

HR Rajang is like LR Nargacuga.
They're nerfed to an extent, but show their true potential in the next level, just like how Deviljho doesn't appear in low rank, has only a high rank, then becomes savage jho in g/master rank.
Their movesets will compromise to their according rank
