Barioth

Is the most annoying ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ monster in the entire game, i swear to god the frames that his tail whip has is literally insane and completely undodgable. every attack he does either stuns me or knocks me on the ground and comes out so fast i cant even react to it. horrible design overall, will never hunt this thing ever again in my life unless i want to literally torture myself in a sadistic fashion.

Chop that tail off and break his claws and it becomes a pathetic meme fight. Can be done quickly if you use fire element weapon

This is basically me whenever I meet a new monster. But as you improve and explore different tactics you will start to appreciate each monster's design. Though, some monsters are definitely more flawed than the others, like Barioth.

I do approve how tight the hitbox during the tail whip is. You can stand inside him and it whiffs entirely.

There are far worse things then just a Barioth XD A Diablos for one. A Brachydios id say is one of the worst to hunt.

Put on rocksteady or temporal mantle and wound the tail or the claw. Focus on the wounded part until it breaks and you're good to go

When he's not enraged, wallbang.
When he's enraged spam traps, destroy his arms and head. Forget the fkn tail.
He'll be super slow when his arms are broken and his leap from above will be pathetic when his head is broken (BIG OPENING).

Btw i start to appreciate and love hunting Barioth more after i found out using hammer and lance are really fun to use against him.
Especially Frostfang Barioth, he is awesome imo..

Barioth is piss easy, the only annoyance about it is how it moves all over the place.

diablos is easy but thats probably because i use insect glaive and so because his so fat and wide i tend to always mount him more or less but with barioth i cant even get him to stay still long enough for any type of actual damage so the fight lasts about a hour or lasts long enough for my vitality mantle to be used three times which never happens unless i fight this damn thing.

Simple answer: Break his legs. If you can score a first wall bang, focus on breaking one of his legs. He goes from speed demon to tumbling slow bro instantly.
