Nintendo Switch Pro Controller Bindings
You can't rebind controller inputs in game (which is stupid as hell), but you can using steam (big picture mode I think). What setup do you guys recommend I use, since the switch controller has reversed a/b and x/y from the default xbox settings?

There should be a community made one for Switch pro.

The default button layout is fine.

Just get the mod that changes all the icons to switch icons.

It's not if you rely to much on muscle memory to pull of combos... or something as simple as dodging.

Using a switch pro controller doesn't change what button goes where, just what the labels are.

The bottom button is still roll. The right and top buttons are still attacks.

The ♥♥♥♥ point are you even trying to make?

The only difference for the basic attack commands is the labels.

Bottom button is still roll.

Right button and top button are still attack.

Left button is still put weapon away/use item.

This basic setup HAS NOT CHANGED since gen 1.

The only difference with controls between world and things on nintendo systems is which button is confirm and which is cancel. And there's literally a toggle for that in the options menu if it bothers you that much.

If the inputs aren't in the same positions: Blame steam's crappy input mapper. Disable it and use betterjoy instead. It's a dedicated mapper for switch pro controllers.

That is pretty much the case, when the Switch’s pro controller got out of beta it barely changed a thing, the gyro controls where still a headache to configure without spending a couple of hours to figure out what every setting means and pretty much forces you to become an expert on gyro controllers or download someone else's configuration.

OK, here's what I got coming in fresh and testing it out with a Switch controller:
The default controls are incorrect. Bottom is not roll etc.

To fix:
Download that Nexus mod (swaps X/Y to same as switch, and shows correct buttons).
Use the Switch profile under community configs in Big Picture mode (I used the one by Sikes, with the most playtime).
Then swap the confirm button.

If you do that, it should play almost exactly like Switch. Few small things I noticed after 2min in training area: pressing A while sheathed will not unsheath. Selecting items is on D-pad, and use item with Y (unlike switch which is hold L and select using Y/A).
The difference in item selection is something you can change in both games. In rise the change is to account for that new action bar.

That can all be changed in the settings in both games.

As for not being able to unsheath with a... I think that's normal for most weapons. Unsheath attacks would be done with top button, not right button as while sheathed, right button is interact to pick up/carve

Thanks, I didn't even consider that as a possibility
