How do I unlock more Layered armours?

For example, low rank rathian Layered armour? I can't work it out.

the guiding lands introduced in iceborne give almost all the materials needed to make both low/high rank and master rank layerd armor for every monster in the game. some layerd sets are locked behind specific event quests

do note you must own the iceborne DLC in order to go to the guiding lands as it's end game content.

Yes, it unlocks right after you finish Iceborne campaign. Then you just hunt the monster to whom the armor belongs and you can make the layered armor out of it.

Also, you have to be MR100+ to unlock all of the layered armors.
