Is volumetric fog graphic option a joke ?
I just disable it and the game looks so much better it was like having blurry vision.

It's kinda bad not gonna lie. I though the game looked nice, but after I turned it off it look so much better. I still don't know why they put it in the game. It also lowers your frame rate by about 15-20 frames.

Same goes for motion blur. Games look so much better without

I actually like it. It gives the game more pop. Without it, everything looks dark and bland.

I just wish it was implemented better from a technical standpoint.

Yup, just like a whole bunch of things it's badly implemented in this game.
You can use Reshade to get almost the same effect without losing 10~ fps lol.
I always turn off things like motion blur, bloom and film grain in games.

agreed, its a performance killer.

that said, i run it on max just fine xD i could certainly go up to 110-120 fps with it completely off and DLSS on, but i've done this and it looks like garbage. DLSS on with vol fog though, tolerable and looks correct.

I don't like it either and disabling it gives you a massive performance increase to boot.
I always recommend disabling it for the performance benefits alone and the effect blurs the game considerably. You should also consider disabling motion blur as that improves the image quality as well.

I'm pretty sure that volumetric fog, film grain, vignette, and motion blur are indeed jokes played upon the public by developers who either don't know any better or wish they could make bad movies.

Eh, I'm sure somebody out there likes them. I've never really understood the point to making a game look worse deliberately.

It's a joke. It makes certain fights harder due to obscuring vision. Kushala is a prime example.
