Not allowed to craft tranq bombs or buy them?

There's no option to craft them in my own inventory and the provisions merchant doesn't sell them even though the capturing tutorial says he should? Am I missing something? I'm HR 6 or so- do I need to progress further?

I'm assuming you have Sleep Herbs and Parahrooms in your inventory/item box?
That's the recipe for them and you should be able to craft them, if you haven't crafted them as of yet the recipe will show up as a question mark item on the crafting list that you just have to discover by crafting it. On the upside, if this is some sort of weird bug that i'm unaware of, you should be able to find EZ Tranq Bombs in the provisions chest at the start of a capture quest, along with EZ traps.

I'm not sure I've ever had them in my inventory at the same time, I'll try that first, thanks for the feedback

You can buy them in other games. Not in this one.

Use your farming box at the tree to farm sleep herbs and para shrooms for a while.

Tutorial probably means trap tools for making traps, not tranq bombs.

I don't recall other entries selling a pre-made tranq bombs. I do remember them selling tranquillisers, which you have to combine with bomb casing to make tranq bombs.

Yeah, I didn't feel the need to go that in depth with it as they removed bomb casings for world.
