PC Version of Monster Hunter Rise is Confirmed for 2022!

Arekkz, a very dominant community figure in MH was able to sit down with Ichinose-san, and get some details about Rise. And, one of the first things confirmed is Monster Hunter Rise is confirmed to be coming to PC! There is no date, and Ryozo has said that he is interested in bringing the game to PC, but it's projected to come in 2022.
While there was a small bit of evidence of a PC release through datamining, it is now officially confirmed to be a current project for the MH Teams.

bruh if they aren't insta-shotting the monster then nobody cares if they cheat or mod or whatever. frankly if modding as a whole didn't exist i probably wouldn't even bother buying the game on pc at all, and for sure i'm not the only person in the world who's like this
i think some people forget that this is a co-op game
also, afaik offline/story content is separated again so nobody's going to ruin your precious time anyway

They're probably talking about speedrunners that went from consoles to PC. To save time, you probably can just savescum your way to IB endgame... though idk how to do that or even if it is possible.
They don't really play with other people when speedrunning, so I don't see the problem. I find their video showcase pretty neat to watch

Well, I'm sure console players cheat too, like when I played "The Last Story" on the Wii, there were some guys always hacking at the end of the lifespan of the game, but still it was less hacking than I encountered in Starcraft. Some people also started to hack in Mario Kart 8 on Wii U, especially noticable in 2019, but at the time the game was 5 years old and practically abandoned.

I'm personally getting both Switch and PC version, but if someone is gonna wait, then it's fine. I'm sure they can allocate their time and money for their own good :3

because pc community is toxic and they are able to cheat and ruin the game for others; see the arena quest leaderboards, or people joining others hunts and using 1 shot/high damage weapons for example

edit: also it can be argued that pc ruined speedrunning in this game as a whole since they can use modded quests or mod their game to achieve better speedrun times. a good example is using a damage overlay mod to help them with knowing when a monster will be ko'd or staggered, etc and the overlay wont be visible once their gameplay is recorded. or using a modded quest to make a monster behave a certain way, i.e. using certain attacks to make a fight more predictable and easier while using good rng as an excuse.

Well you can see the hours I poured into that game and I encountered like 3 cheaters, so that's a non-problem

Yeah. No matter how many times people try to spin it, the fact remains that PC will always have more cheaters on its platform than consoles.

The way they are phrasing it I'd agree with you. Personally I also think defender gear shouldn't be used by new players, but not because I don't think they're not "real" players if they do. It's just harder to adjust to the proper difficulty in IB if they never had to struggle before and can be very discouraging.

The really funny thing about the Defender gear is that the people who criticize it are the same people who use mods and get upset when they're criticized for doing so. It's a vicious cycle.

I say just let people who paid for a game play it however they want.

CoD is a PvP game where you get matched with random people; cheaters are definitely a problem there.
MH can be beat 100% solo and if you want to go MP with a 100% guarantee that you don't have cheaters, post a LFG topic where you state clearly that you want to play the game with people that - like you - don't want to cheat.
