PC Version of Monster Hunter Rise is Confirmed for 2022!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q2EE7iWEqJs&feature=youtu.be
Arekkz, a very dominant community figure in MH was able to sit down with Ichinose-san, and get some details about Rise. And, one of the first things confirmed is Monster Hunter Rise is confirmed to be coming to PC! There is no date, and Ryozo has said that he is interested in bringing the game to PC, but it's projected to come in 2022.
While there was a small bit of evidence of a PC release through datamining, it is now officially confirmed to be a current project for the MH Teams. :cozymhw:

This is a little bit offtopic, but I'm the sort of person who normally thinks pre-orders are stupid, waits for years to buy things on sale, and generally doesn't spend alot of money.

I should be the sort to wait for the PC release, but I've already pre-ordered the special edition switch and pro controller. What has Monster Hunter done to me, I hardly recognize myself.

Still, would double dip here even if released on the same day.
Got some friends on steam to play with, got randoms to play with on switch and my bros

I dont think I'd be the only one who would double dip if they're released on the same day

there is clear difference between these 2 cases which is simply abuseing certain people. impatient ones.

they fully well know impatient players will double dip and maybe buy even a whole console just so they dont have to wait a year when the same people would probaly not buy it more than once if they could access the technical superior version at the same time.

that is shady buisness practice. sure everyone themselfs has it in thier hands in the end. but that still doesnt make it any less shady in the end.

and just to be clear here : i do not believe the devs are responsible for this themselfs. as they probaly got no talk about such descisions in the end to begin with sadly.
Okay you convinced me, multiplatform games are dirty cashgrabs, I wish rise would be Nintendo switch exclusive now!

Sarcasm aside, you do realize that companies just announce when it's a timed exclusive right? And you do realize that timed exclusives are lucrative when the "Plattform owner" pays them for the game being a timed exclusive right?

i really confused on why would people try to talk down on all the people that refused to buy switch version and just wait for PC.

i was able to held back on buying ps4 to play GOW. even until now i haven't buy it and had never play it. and i am fine with it (the gameplay on youtube is awesome) and i do not feel left out.

Me neither.
I'm also confused why people are mad at Capcom for deciding to make a PC port since they're not really obligated to do that.

I'm personally getting both Switch and PC version, but if someone is gonna wait, then it's fine. I'm sure they can allocate their time and money for their own good :3

because pc community is toxic and they are able to cheat and ruin the game for others; see the arena quest leaderboards, or people joining others hunts and using 1 shot/high damage weapons for example

edit: also it can be argued that pc ruined speedrunning in this game as a whole since they can use modded quests or mod their game to achieve better speedrun times. a good example is using a damage overlay mod to help them with knowing when a monster will be ko'd or staggered, etc and the overlay wont be visible once their gameplay is recorded. or using a modded quest to make a monster behave a certain way, i.e. using certain attacks to make a fight more predictable and easier while using good rng as an excuse.

Here's the catch tho: You don't have to play on PC just because it was anounced for PC and crossplay is going to be very unlikely. And if you mostly play with a tight-knit group of friends, you won't come across cheaters in the first place.

You do realize that people can also cheat on consoles right? For example on PS4 there are tools to edit mhw Savegames and stuff and even back in the Xbox 360 day there were so many hacked lobbies and cheating people in modern warfare 2 and black ops it's unbelievable
Sure cheating on the pc is much easier, but playing on a console doesn't prevent this from happening and last time I checked the PS4 most recent firmware is hackable and a lot of switch consoles (depending on when it was produced) are hackable with no way for Nintendo to fix it with software because it exploits the hardware
I don't care for Xbox anymore since they release everything on pc as well these days so I can't say anything about Xbox one in that regard

Oh wow. Some of the stupidest things I ever heard in my entire life.
Cheaters? Hrm, I havent seen a single one. But yeah, that doesn't mean that this game don't have cheaters.

Be happy about pc release. So you can try 60+ fps gaming and you need need to play with stuttering from the hell :)

But okay, 98% of twiggys posts are totally weird.

i understand your point.
let's us judge people by looking at 0.0001% of player base that is actually cheating and not the 99.9999% that did not.
i did not cheat, most people did not. hell most have never encountered 1 before.

let me ask you this, with less than 1% chance of encountering cheater, did you not feel any enjoyment on multiplayer at all ?

I support Twiggy, when Rise launches on console there will be almost no cheaters for months to come, while the PC version will have modders right off the bat, most players who are able to cheat will cheat, it is proven by the fact that most use defender armor, something a real player simply does not want to touch. Also when playing other PC games like Starcraft it was inviteable to encounter a cheater almost every second game, so maybe we do not notice cheaters in MHW, but they are there.
