Stop spamming dragon pods on Fatalis
Yes I get that it flinches Fatalis and its good and stuff, but save the dragon pods for when your teammates is in actual trouble (i.e. getting pinned, charged fireball).

You don't do your team any good by constantly flinching it, instead, you just interrupt your teammates doing attacks.

And yes, this is a salty post coming from a guy who had multiple helmbreakers/tcs/*insert weapon's big attack interrupted by dragon pods.

Randoms won't change their behavior because of a salty forum post.
So grow up and get a premade team, if you want to clear quests in a professional way

you could also create a shout out like "pls stop dragon pod usage" for the fight or talk about it with your teammates at the beginning.

Profissional lol

That aside, I think those kind of post are valid. people that haven't been there yet and dedire to be, somewhjat "professional", this can help to them, but as you said, most likely will not stop anything.

Teammates spamming slinger ammo that interrupts the monster in general is highly annoying, especially if I'm on bow or something and need the head to move predictably.

One more reason for this kind of thread. Someone giving his insight about how this can be bothersome.

I felt I have grown.

It is very annoying but this is a risk associated with hunting with random players.
If you want to defeat Fatalis reliably and efficiently then hunting him solo or with a group of friends are your best options. I find Fatalis to actually be easier and faster to clear if done solo so that is what I would recommend.

Hunting with randoms is just that ; random. Sometimes you meet good hunters and sometimes you just meet less experienced hunters. I've also experienced hunts where someone kept interputing Fatalis with dragon pods or hunts where a LS player keeps interupting the entire team for example.

If I want a risk free hunt then I hunt solo and if I want to help people then I generally do SOS hunts. :mhwgood:

Wow, such a constructive reply with a out of nowhere personal attack.

For the record I do play with premades but not everyone is available 24/7. The only time I play with randoms is when I want to get disappointed and boy they don't disappoint. But really if this post gets 1 additional randoms to stop spamming dragon pods it would make my day.

it can also trigger trolls to intensify their pod usage, you have shown them your weakspot

This post is aiming towards the part of random that are not trolls. Trolls will always be trolls, regardless if I made this post or not.

Thank you for this post. It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying when you're range players. You need a predictable, stable target.
ressenmacher Feb 4, 2021 @ 9:13pm
Agreed. Flinching Fatty should only be done when there's a clear and immediete threat that he's about to kill somebody (player is at low HP and in line of fire, player has been knocked to the floor, player is out of position during the cone breath, etc.). Otherwise, not only do you give up damage (and often head damage at that), but you also run the risk of getting people killed because they committed to a punish and the stagger was shorter than the opening they thought Fatty was going to leave.

This is why I've stopped using GS against fatty. It just messes your TCS timing so much. Also it's better to use it only on that 360 spin or whenever he grabs a player.

Yesterday I learned that if you pod him just before he starts to fly (when he's flapping his wings) he doesn't fly anymore:steamthumbsup:
useful in MP when I can't break the wings with the ballista

Wait, rly? Sounds very useful; I'll have to practice doing that when I get the chance.
