Does anybody actually enjoy fighting Kushala Daora?
I am not saying he is hard; in fact, I think he's amongst the easiest Elder Dragons in World. However, the fact that the only way to counter his tornados, that he spams all fight, is to wear his armor is ridiculous and his power feels like it's meant to artificially prolong the fight.
I would just like to know if I am in the minority by rolling my eyes every time I need his materials or have an optional quest with him or whether most people feel like that.

Edit: found a typo that broke an entire sentence.

I use long sword mainly and had a lot of issue with Kushala Daora before purchase Ice Borne DLC on PS4. With crutch action from Ice Borne, it got easier.

After I get use to use light bowgun, it got much easier. So I guess it's better to use at least 2 kind of weapons from swordfighter group and shooter group.

Kushla sucks. It's basically just a monster that you headlock with the flinch damage/topple because otherwise you're twiddling your thumbs for minutes at a time waiting for a decent opening to do... anything, really, as a melee weapon. He's not much better ranged, his head is pretty tiny and he's got that deflection aura for ammo damage.

Kushy D. and his tornadoes can all burn in hell for all I care. His tornadoes are f*cking annoying!
No, I dont need fire tornadoes either
He actually can create those if you lure him into the volcanic part of the elder's recess. Though, why would you?

Imagine, a fire/wind element Kushy D. *shudders*
No need, Luna with Kushy or Kushy in the volcano part of GL is already working on that.
ITS NOT EVEN THEIR FINAL FORM!

the only time i don't don't enjoy kush kush is in a few specific zones in the recess and such that include slides with my full slugger sliding spam hammer build
and even then sometimes i miss 2 hits at an inopportune moment and have to deal with his annoying MR wind aura for the rest of the entire bloody fight man what the hell up with that

I hate him to death in this game but he's actually quite fun in generations because aerial style pretty much hard counters Kushala. Your aerial attacks can't be deflected and getting frequent mounts lets you get some good damage in on the dude. I remember running aerial DBs with Yian Garuga weapons and feeling oh so stylish with the poison fans and I never had to deal with his elder dragon black winds because the poison would prevent him from ever getting to that point.

I enjoy his fight with SA. Just shoot pods at his chest to disable his wind.

I love flashing fighting flying hr kushala.
But rage x10 if the party somehow missed flashing him when he's near death and about to gooooooooo back up to his nest in elder recess.

I hate fighting anything that flies with melee, but sticky makes Kushala a joke, as her KO resistance is low as it is, sticky just destroys her. lol

True, I don't pick up slinger ammo nearly as often as I should. Just dragon pods, tho, I would assume?

laughs in sticky ammo/rapid fire normal 2 ammo.

its just a bit of an annoyance when im using hammer as my third weapon. just equip 3 parts of kushala set and you wont be too much bothered by the shield. you will loose DPS but that means you will do more chains of damage rather than waiting for a shieldless opening. if you want more challenge for ranged units go for spread it is a hard and gureling fight for HBG.

relying on Blinding is not a sure thing for tempered , arch tempered or master rank since fighting it in grinding lands solo is a long fight. but mastering is move set is more efficient on countering it. it is very predictable specially when you are using ranged weapons because you are seeing its animations more fluidly.

having a lot of survivability skills so that you can cross counter the monster works as well its just that you may have to drown it in potions.

there used to be a mod way back in vanilla making a super nergigante with kirin lightning strikes, juratodus mud lunastra nova and kushala shield. that drops bazel scales. it was next to impossible but i miss that guy since he dose not use a map wide kill attack just pure brute force skills that kills you if you are in the wrong place at the wrong time.

in case you need help and im free ill help ...as long as its not fatalis, hate to run it with SoS

chortles in All Wind Pressure Negated

...no I don't particularly like fighting Kushala if I can help it but now and again I will willingly run into HR hunts in response to SOS calls. Carrying a giant Rajang horn doubling as bongos. Playing the song of my people while smacking Kusha around.

More than likely, also, slinger burst if I'm correct. Fatalis flinched from the bursts as well
I like the Kushala Daora fight, in previous games you had to use poison to negate it's wind abilities and I do miss that aspect. What you would do is, you'd use poison to fight Kushala Daora, then you could use Kushala Daora equipment to fight Teostra, then you'd use Teostra equipment to fight Chameleos, which gave you even better poison equipment so you could breeze through Kushala any time.

I'm not sure how effective it is but you could try using Elderseal, it doesn't seemed to be talked about a lot but in previous games, if Kushala was not poisoned, it was a very painful fight, Elderseal is worlds replacement of that mechanic and if you're hating the fight, reducing Kushala's abilities could make things more bearable

I really enjoyed the fight back in HR non tempered.

Now, not so much.
