Does anybody actually enjoy fighting Kushala Daora?
I am not saying he is hard; in fact, I think he's amongst the easiest Elder Dragons in World. However, the fact that the only way to counter his tornados, that he spams all fight, is to wear his armor is ridiculous and his power feels like it's meant to artificially prolong the fight.
I would just like to know if I am in the minority by rolling my eyes every time I need his materials or have an optional quest with him or whether most people feel like that.

Edit: found a typo that broke an entire sentence.

Kushala is almost always brought up as one of the worst fights in MHW. The only people I can imagine "liking" his fight are the people that just sticky spam everything to death anyways, so his fight would likely be indistinguishable from everything else.

Yes. Learn to count to 1800 when hitting his head (which is not surrounded by his wind armor unlike his main body) and he's very easy. It's the only elder you can stunlock from 100-0 without any issue, turning him into a pinata.

I just got a contendor for the spot of "worst monsters"! :-D

Just reached the endgame of the basegame and was like "yeah, finally, I can do the crossover quests now!" :-P Guess again, they both s***. First I did the Leshen and was so annoyed that I nearly quit the fight halfway through. He's not so hard per-se but his health pool combined with his aweful last phase is just URGHH

Then I did the FFXIV one which I didn't even bother to finish. That bird might have the single worst hitboxes in existence :-P I find the normal Kulus to be obnoxious because I always hit the crystal right through him but that crossover Kulu is THAT + it's worse + it does a crapton of damage.

Wow Capcom, you really can't do simple fun crossovers, can you?! :-P

It's fun the first few times, but only really possible in solo play unless everyone is coordinated.

Yeah, better AFK and cope until Kushala decides to land, when you could display some skill by headlocking it.

Hehe boy, you missed out on Mr. Behemoth, the meta gear of base game.

Tbh, I find behemoth still entertaining

Heavy weapons needed or will DBs do? I just got three Kjarr DBs (fire, ice and water, still farming for the rest) and am augmenting them and I'd hate to switch to a completely different weapon just to try that out

Yeah, I thought so :-/ Maybe later once I have better equipment. I seriously get insta-killed when that chicken lands on my head which isn't fun at all.

I mean it's possible but less intuitive than something like GS where you only have to count like 2 or 3 hits. Would probably have to number crunch a combo to perform without counting, but you'd also have to account for agitator and other factors.

I was just saying that I don't enjoy the monster standing in one spot for the entire fight and I'll rather try various things to get him back on the ground (flash him, while that's still possible, yeet him, mount him with glider) than basically cheese him and have him do f*ckall all fight. The entire reason why I am annoyed by him in the first place is that I prefer dynamic fights and neither option sounds really dynamic. Never said it wasn't an option, just that it doesn't sound like a preferable alternative to what he is now.

Kushy D. and his tornadoes can all burn in hell for all I care. His tornadoes are f*cking annoying!

No need, Luna with Kushy or Kushy in the volcano part of GL is already working on that.
ITS NOT EVEN THEIR FINAL FORM!
