DX12 randomly still crashes while playing

Hey, seems like the game is still crashing while using dx12. Is it only a problem with my system or a general problem with the game?

That's odd. It's your Windows updated?, your GPU drivers too?.

I've reinstalled WIndows like twice recently for a CPU change and in both scenarios DX12 was working just fine on my end.

latest drivers, the problem happened after i updated windows to the newest version some time in Dec. i tried rolling back the KB4592438 update and DX12 works sometimes. but with the latest update i cant even use DX12. im using MSI GTX1080ti 11GB Gpu

Edit: when i mean use i mean run MHW with DirectX 12. the game will juz crash before loading to the menu screen

Try deleting all the files in your game's main folder.
Meaning: the .exe file, the .ini files and all the .dll files. (Don't delete anything else), verify files to re-download them.

Try running the game again after veryfing.

just tried this and really hope it worked but it didnt :( once i turn on the option for DX12 and game reloads, it crashes before menu screen. but when i off DX12, everything works smoothly

never had any crash since at zorah glutton issue
using right now 456,71 which was literally automaticly updated with the latest big windows update 20h2

latest driver doesn't always has to be stable, nvidia has proven this many times since release of rtx

Do you get any error message when you crash or it's just a crash do desktop without any errors?

I can only think of few things, probably some uh, basic debugging stuff I type not just for you but for anyone experiencing this.

-Make sure any other software isn't interfering with the game. Softwares like Rivaturner (from MSI Afterburner) can make some games have crashes or issues unless configured properly.
You can attempt disabling steam UI in game too, and the same goes for the Nvidia Share software.

-If you are running the game in fullscreen, try borderless.

-Just for the sake of testing you could try to create a new windows user, and run the game from there, if it works that way maybe some Window's registry entries are corrupted for MHW.

I can't really think of anything else as of now.

thanks for the suggestion, i had AI Suite on and i offed it but it still persists. will try using new user or even do a clean install of the game, but i think its DX12 issue on my com. i will try to reinstall DX12 (dont know how to do it but will search for it).

2023 replying here, still having random crash with dx12. no fix and its not you, prob the game. if anyone reached here with google and have the same prob, let us know too. :)

Sometimes the game crash with error12 my specs RTX 3060TI - RYZEN 7 5800X
don't know how to fix it... lot have this problem but no one know how to fix
