Geralt's quest
I don't understand anymore how people are saying that the quest is easy, they've got it on the first time etc. Especially considering the late part, where the boss spams Jagrases no matter how many parts I break. I'm playing with Great Sword, as appearently the antlers are what's responsible for spawns, but no matter how much I focus on the head, I can't deal enough damage to break that part.
Also keeping Pukei-Pukei alive. It appears like the boss summons more Jagras if Pukei Pukei is alive, even with one antler broken. I'm trying to spam life dusts, having auto-craft binded and materials prepared, but eventually, if I focus on healing Pukei, I just die because of how much the boss spams attacks and overlaps cc. My most common cause of death is just being cc-chained by everything that is present during the fight and being bled to death. Am I just that unlucky, or am I still doing something wrong?
Also, the side quest with Gajalaka is a joke, you have barely enough time to do everything. Appearently, it also doesn't give any rewards? Because from what I know Pukei quest gives you an Attack Jewel.

The EZ lifepowder isn't really enough to keep pukei alive sometimes. You have 50 minutes which is plenty of time, go gather blue mushrooms and godbugs to make additional lifepowder for the last fight.

It's not hard, just learn the mechanics.
Alright, I see, but I have a few more questions:
1. Are there any preferred weapons? I tried using SnS but it feels quite strange, as I'm very much not used to it. I tried using IG before turning to GS, which by far got me the best results.
2. Is there slinger ammo that allows you to quickly break the antlers? I saw the dude using the sling, but which ammo should I focus on getting? Also, can the flash pods stun Leshen, or only Jagras?
3. As for the rewards, is it worth doing the Gajalaka side quest? Like I said, the timing feels tight.

I do, and I do it fast. Like I said, when I approach the boss, I already have prepared materials for 6-7 lifepowder. And the time isn't really a plenty if you consider how long the side quest takes.

Actually, thinking about it, can I use lifepowder from further away? I've always been trying to be as close as possible to the Pukei when using it, what is its activation range?

In regular hunts as long as you can see the hunters name, they're in range for lifepowder. As long as Pukei is on your screen it should pretty much be in range.

It's more than enough time if you just get em done quickly. Also might want to try spamming charged jump attacks on Leshen using your GS, definitely made the fight a lot easier for me.

If you leave one Jagras alive he wont summon more. If you cant leave one alive then flash them, they have no immunity to flash and it blinds them for a very long time.

leshen wasn't that hard but keeping that stupid pukei alive was pretty annoying.
it helps to let one jagras alive and use flash to keep them stunned so the dmg is reduced and you can focus on leshen

preparation is key to success, so collect enough flash bugs and mushrooms for the healing items before starting the fight.

Alright, yeah, I've realised that already. I guess I will try the quest again later.

I've heard that Switch Axe is one of the best weapons for the fight. Since most of its attacks are wide swings, it's hard for you to not hit the swarms of Jagras. The Leshen also isn't a fan of moving, so should you find an opening, it's a good time to go ham with Sword mode. You could also possibly throw in a ZSD, but the bird swarm may have something to say about that idea.

Interesting, didn't think about it. Though like you said, the bird may be tricky. Though I could do it only after burning him, so I may give it a shot.
