Why does no one uses Nerigante GS
Purgation's Atrocity has high raw damage, no negative affinity and dat sharpness. However, I will hear people more often talk about leviathan fury? It has a lower elder seal, raw damage, and just a higher elemental damage, which it doesn't really use much. So why no one brings it up?

Generally speaking, better sharpness and high base attack has always been the weapon of choice for Hammer / Great sword thoughout the Monster Hunter series.

Although Purgation's Atrocity isn't bad (1008, 0 Affinity, Long Blue sharpness, High Elder Seal), but its place has been over taken by Wyvern Ignition Impact (1008, -15% Affinity, short white sharpness) AND Deviljho's Anguish (1104, -30% Affinity, Average Blue sharpness).

Q. So why base damage and better sharpness?
A. Charge attack's damage - just head to training ground and check the number you call pull out for each of the 3 weapons.

Q: What about the negative Affinity?
A: That get migrated by either Weakness Expliot, Critical Draw, Maximum Might OR simply Critical Eye.

Personally, I still uses Purgation's Atrocity (against specific monster that is weak on Dragon element, e.g. Kulve taroth after it becomes naked) but overtime, I found myself uses Ignition Impact far more often.

OK yes I know it exist but it a limited time weapon. :| Not everyone has it lol. So back on subject?
because its "limited time" and takes 5 minutes to get and in the 3 months of release 2/3rd of that have been events where you can get it, so everyone has it.

Kulve is weak to ice after being stripped. She is just neutral to dragon.

Also Ignition Impact is elementless. The non-ele boost skill is a massive gain in damage. Its why so many weapon's best in class is high base with no element.
