Do you think Capacity boost is good on CB?
I've been using CB since release, my builds and play style got a lot better since, but recently I've been wondering about capacity boost, I always used it on all my CB builds (dodogma boots), but recently, while minmaxing my builds I've been wondering if it's even worth it to take, for all I know it only boost the shield's buff duration (which is long enough anyway, 3 minutes) and adds one tick of damage to the SAED (which is what? around 60-90 depending on the CB), so you know, good, but as far as leg armor goes I could add 2 more attack boost using dober armor for example.

Of course if I had the capacity boost deco I wouldn't even ask and I'd just slap it on, but RNGesus hasn't blessed me with this particular one yet.

if you dont have the deco, its not that good. but since CB gameplay is spamming SAED
every thyme it look like straigh dmg increase to me?

With deco.. ofc! Longer shield buff.. 1 more neat 100 number on saeds. But without.. meh.. using dodo part only for that isn't that nice.

My builds on ps4 were all without it since I lacked the deco.
Mandatory on Impact phials, not really on Elemental phials EXCEPT against Blos family and Kulve

Thanks for your three answers.

The thing is:
SAED does good damage, that's true, doing it is worth it. However as far as raw DPS goes I wouldn't be surprised if trading these dodo boots for more attack turns out to be better, and unfortunatly the EFR doesn't raise on the DPS calculator I'm using when I slap a capacity boost (which is normal, it doesn't boost the damages), so I can't tell for sure which is better.

CB does great damage even without SAED, but the extra lightning is more stuns. I should add that I don't like to use artillery on my CB builds, without or with I get approximatly the same results in quest completion time (biggest numbers are fun but not always the best). At first I didn't even bother with crits att all on CBs but I've realized that SAEDs aren't even the main DPS source of the weapon, so WEX, crit eye (and crit boost since Kulve) are good despite the phial damage not critting.

Mind telling us your playstyle then ? Sword only.. or with axe combos.. or AED focused. I tried every playstyle with CB and tbh.. axe combos are one of the slowest in the game.. they lock you in place and are pretty hard to use without rocksteady.

It does great dmg.. thats the beauty with cb.. it has whole different playstyles. I just don't think its fun to use the axe a lot or using AED 1+2.

You must be playing the weapon with more emphasis in sword/axe slashes if thats the case for you. If you do, I present to you elemental charge blades. High affinity, white sharpness, more hack and slashing, less emphasis on SAED, but more on ED 1,2 and AED. You got to try it

Sword and shield only, I really don't like axe mode,I only switch for the early guard point before the transition. When I have the heat for a SAED I use the shortest combo to SAED (and safest): Y Y+B Y+B on xbox controler so I don't even have to go through axe mode to throw SAEDs.

I like elemental CB, though I barely play them to be honnest, because Diablos CB...I mean it's just too good.

My playstyle being focused on sword mode while throwing SAED whenever I can (well at least when I know it'll hit) without going through axe mode means I can build heat quickly, as I said above I never use axe mode aside from SAEDs and the guard point transition so despite the slashy playstyle I still use the SAED a lot. That and I don't have the decos to be efficient with elemental weapons in general where raw only require a elementless gem, which I have, also the reason why I stick to raw.
