the Best dual blades and the Best long sword
This is the first time im posting here, good for MHW.

i know today the Kul mission gives pretty much the best atk power by the first look; however, dual blades are more like a combined atk( physical and elemental, and ofc with crit). It is better to learn more about which to choose the best blades. For regular mission, Im using Kjarr daggers "Rage" and the Blizzard and blaze, which are more rely on elemental and crit atk.

Tried some DB with ice or venom elemental, which are totally a minor weapon feeling. For ancient dragons, i use the Enduring Surrender or Alatreon Madness, which I feel like are better than Kjarr dagger dragon due to different white sharpness range.

And I dont know much about the long sword but still curious about it, since it is pretty good looking weapon, educate me please. (cant complain with this good looking weapon. LS players weights 1/5 of over all players, its like WOW. )

Please feel free to comment anything! I would appreciate any opinions.

thanks !

For Dual Blades, Kjarr of each element (depending on which one the monster is weakest to) is the best, and with the few monsters that aren't really weak to any element (Ruiner Nergigante, Stygian Zinogre and some others); Fatalis Dual Skies, or if you can't get it yet, Lightbreak Twins, from Raging Brachydios.

For Longsword you just want whatever weapon has highest raw damage. Fatalis LS being the absolute peak.

The regular tarroth dual blades may actually beat kjarr once you have gamma velhanna armor to get crit element :D

But until the kjarr blades +5 piece safi armor for dual blades

Raging brachy longsword is really good right up to fatalis with a safi longsword being neck and neck, but safi takes a lot more grinding

How much of a damage loss is going blast dual blades? I love them but can't be bothered to farm and switch loadouts for each element.

Hard to say, I'm no good about detailed math in this game. I'd say 10-20% DPS loss assuming best scenario for element and keeping Lightbreak on purple sharpness at all times. There's also the fact that you save up a lot of deco space with Blast, since you don't have to max out your element.

Thing is it really depends which monster you're fighting. Some monsters like Ruiner Nerg is resistant to elemental damages and you have can favor Raw against him. Playing DB is accepting having at least 6 weapons : 5 elemental and 1 raw. If you're not into farming that then you'll never max out the potential of the weapon.
