Rainbow Layered armor pigment requirements

Ok hi i recently have been trying to get the rainbow layered armor stuff and whatever, since i need all optionals done, does that include master rank quests? Thank you in advance.

Rainbow pigment is a base game feature, so it's just low and high rank quests. No master rank.

(still bummed out we didn't get a fancy version in Iceborne, with brighter colours rather than the dull colours we got in vanilla. It would have made sense, damn you!)

i was a bit disappointed about how shiny it wasn't

There's a mod that fixes the brightness. And even allows you to change which colors it cycles through.
