why the hell cant I craft these?

I'm an old school hunter, from back in the earlier days, you could basically craft everything except armor cores.

One thing you did back then was carry barrels, bomb material, traps, trap material, material to make trap material, and all the stages of potions were stocked to the brim. getting your inventory increased was the hayday of the gaming experience.

Why cant I craft the base item for making traps? or half the stuff in this game? like, why is it super easy to craft wyvern shots, cluster bomb shells, catelysts, immunizers (ALL things that you usually couldnt craft early game without a bittalotta luck). but you cant craft a freaking trap tool?

I end up looking for an on map palico buddy just to get trappers to make sure I dont run out of traps to capture my target.

I tell you, the more I play this game and experience its nonsensical structuring the more I'm regretting buying it. Definitely making me think twice about whether I should by the other titles (and expansions).

You have never been able to craft trap tools and until world you couldn't restock anything during a quest.

The Trap Tool is an item obtainable in most, if not all Monster Hunter games and is always available for purchase from one of the game's merchants at some point or another. The usual price is about 200z. They serve a single purpose in the series, to be combined with other materials in order to create traps, being an essential component of every trap known to hunter.

none of it mentioned that you can obtain it by crafting it

not gonna post every monster hunter game but most likely every trap tools for monster hunter game are only obtainable the same way

2nd gen is Freedom 2 and Freedom united and none of those game enable you to craft trap tools. I've given you the source from my previous post. however there is someone in gamefaqs forum said that you can create trap tools in MH Freedom Unite but then someone replied to them said they were mistaken.

it said you can use Tigrex Divine Scale and Lao-Shan's Ruby which even if possible it's not worth it because you can sell Lao-Shans Ruby alone for 20.000z and then in turn buy 100 trap tools. not to mention Lao-Shan's Ruby only have 2% drop rate

I said craft in the op but if you guys actually read the thread you will see I almost immediately acknowledged I was mistaken on the craft part and corrected where I was mistaken in the following posts. Please re read.

what base item are you talking about? becuase of the topic title I assume you are talking about trap tools which is not craftable other than that is either

or
Thunderbug which is obviously uncraftable

or what "half other stuff" that you mention.
