Excitable A-lister and Field Team Leader (Spoilers within)
I finally beat Fatalis (Solo Hammer) today and it was a whirlwind. Besides the amazing rush, there was also something that came up in the story which I wanted some confirmation about - there's no lore available on the matter.

Spoilers below:

The Excitable A-Lister's name is Aiden, and in a conversation with the General and Commander post-Fatalis, there is a reference to his master Julius and how he wanted to bring someone back to visit Master Julius.

My first thought was he and the serious handler were an item and perhaps he wanted to bring her back to fulfill some promise. But when speaking to the serious handler, she alludes to the fact that she might see Aiden in the old world and was not the person Aiden was referencing - Aiden was referencing the Field Team Leader (The Commander's grandson).

There's a small bit of dialogue from the Field Team Leader that Aiden would be bringing him to see Master Julius. Are the two of them a couple or something? The dialogue and tone seemed to imply that.

Anyone can enlighten me? :)

You're kinda reading a little too far into this. Aiden and Julius are from a previous game (MH4). It's just referencing that and bringing some continuity. Any romantic relationships you see or might read about are entirely fan speculation (including your own).

Thanks! That was helpful, I did not know they came from a previous MH story. I found it really out of place for a moment.

What? No man, no gay stuff in Monster Hunter. Capcom is not a western developer.

I mean your character is what you make of it, but the story characters? Lmaaaoooo no man, this aint no EA or Blizzard.

Go watch the Monster Hunter Netflix mini movie and you will see what kind of relationship Julius and Aiden have.

Can't blame Sunswords for drawing conclusions , every media nowadays is just obsessed with gender and ethnicity

But as Treble said , japanese entertainment in general didn't seems to care about those trends at all .

Sometimes it's just good to enjoy a simple escapism , no politics , no ideology no polarization , and playing MH is just giving me that

media was always obsessed with gender and ethnicity...
your statement makes no sense

good old times of the hollywood code, as white actors played any other ethnicity in hollywood.
gene roddenberry already wanted to implement gay couples into the first star trek series, but the time wasn't right for it and the producer said no.

some people would even go so far and blame anime for turning their kids into weebo weaklings
meanwhile onnagata(men who played female roles) already existed in old traditional japanese theatre.

looks like there are still too many insecure male out there who can't accept a little bit wierdness in media

it is like "al bundy" vs "modern family", while I enjoyed both shows.
