How to mount with grappling hook?

I've seen some people mount enemies with the grappling hook but i have no idea how it works

You can only use the clutch claw if you own iceborne.

if you own iceborne, the majority of weapons are LT (L2) and B (Circle), other weapons that use the left trigger for various mechanics usually hold LT and click in the right stick to activate the claw, then B to grapple

1. You need to own Iceborne DLC to unlock clutch claw(grappling hook) feature.
   
2. You cannot mount monsters with clutch claw under normal circumstances, you can only tenderize parts or perform flinch shot.
   
3. If you wore glider mantle and cancel the clutching state by jumping off, you will enter gliding state, performing an attack will accumulate mount value, which results in mounting when certain threshold is reached.
