Is the game any good or should i go with horizon zero dawn?
I'm torn between this game and Horizon zero dawn, one thing i dislike is that you can't see the hp of a monester.

Is game any good?

The monster starts limping when it's at low health and several monsters also have stages that clearly indicate that theyre below certain hp thresholds.
The game explains these mechanics as well and the stage shifting is clearly noticeable.

You can honestly do without that information and most players in the community consider it to be cheating to use overlay mods to show the hp of a monster so always keep the information to yourself when playing online and do not share it in the chat.
In my opinion there's no reason to resort to cheats as this information isn't necessary and it's actually a core aspect of the series to not know the amount of health that a monster has.
I would highly recommend trying to play the game as it was intended first as it isn't a major obstacle in any way.

I think Monster Hunter World will keep you occupied for a larger amount of time then Horizon. If you enjoy the game then there's no telling how many hours you'll enjoy playing it, especially with Iceborne. It's also worth noting that Horizon Zero Dawn suffers from a few optimisation issues on PC but I'm not entirely sure whether these have been solved already.
All of the temporary content in Monster Hunter World has been made permanently available so now would be an excellent time to begin playing!

I hope this helps you make your choice! :mhwgood:

There are mods that will fix that HP issue. Look into HelloWorld. As for is it any good? Depends on what ya into. If you're interested in Horizon Zero Dawn? Then yes this probably for you. If you've played and loved Monster Hunter games? Most certainly! If you don't like constant grind for gear? Definitely not as this is certainly a necessity in this game. You will need to kill bosses over and over in order to obtain that sweet sweet material, especially rare items and OMG don't even get me started on obtaining that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tail.. Anyway.. bit late deciding on this aren't you? with sale being over and all.

If you prefer story & open world, go with horizon.

If you prefer gameplay and fighting, go with this.

You can see it with overlays so that issue can easily be fixed.
Never played horizon so my opinion will be biased but if you like to grind, fight big monsters, have access to unique weapons then this game will not disappoint. You can always try it for less than 2 hrs if it's not your cup of tea, refund it.

I found MHW on sale on DLGamer, so I can buy it kinda cheap but can't refund.

I'm going to assume they're referring to a mod like HelloWorld

It's simply a small gadget that you can run to view things like monsters hp and other thresholds.

Where have I said that

@OP Mhw has a 'story' but nothing more than a means to facilitate one monster after another. With a few throwbacks to previous titles and the difference between this world and them

Story horizon > story world =/= world has no story

Go Fall Guys

Honestly, not seeing the HP of the monster is kind of interesting, so you might want to try that before using the overlays. Just a suggestion

That's just utter nonsense. World does have story. And to me you're comparing oranges and apples here. The games are different, so are their stories. One may be more rich than the other in storyline but that doesn't mean the other game has none or lacks any that some would consider decent.

What does that even mean? O_o
