MHW is still played a lot by other players mid-to-late game. You could even find someone early sometimes. And even solo it's still a great game. In many aspects, like graphic and map size Rise seems to be "diet MHW" so it could actually end up being the worse game of the 2.

As for Rise there are pretty credible leaks about a PC port, whether its 6 months or a year later I dont know, but Capcom would have to be crazy not to release it on PC after the MASSIVE success World was on PC. They would get the same PC only crowd that they gained and the many double dippers buying it on Switch and PC.
in terms of mechanic and monster i think rise will be on par with MHW
but in terms of graphic, yeah, MHWI is on another level compared to Rise
