Small Bombs?
I've seen some people use them to detonate large bombs when sleepbombing, but that's about it.

the damage on them is so small without skill boosts its kind of a wasted effort since you can CC onto the monster and deal more damage that way. but as a quick boop they can be fun to use.
Most people just don't want to waste the time trying to use them and also don't want to dedicate any inventory space to them.
I used a few for a while, but they don't do anything so I stopped using them. I think the last thing I may have tried to use them on was early kills against Kushala, and while they would hit, it was still just so much time wasted when I could do so many other things.
Haven't use them in actual fights.
Bounce bombs... I forgot they're even in World. Back in older games, they were just a quick way to deal some extra bit of dmg when a monster decides to stick to the ceilings or the sky for a long while. Also useful for when a monster is making a really slow landing.
Also perhaps against those Vespoid LR arena quests, but honestly dunno.
When you are melee, pick up slinger ammo and try to slinger the face. If you are ranged, shoot him. Kushala is a pain, but there are things to do, and the bounce bombs only reach him if you are lucky and he isn't flying at max height.
