lol, no quests, screams all day, exclusive to guiding lands. sleep weapons...
Kawalorn Oct 23, 2020 @ 12:14pm
He's hard to even find and there is no important quest that requires to kill him, or super important augment from his parts.

Like, who even bothers leveling Rotten region in Guiding Lands unless you want those element/status up augments on your weapons just to squeeze that last bit of DPS in your elemental weapons?

Now compare it to Zinogre, who not only has one of the most important farming quests, but also his parts are needed for Health Augment in R12 weapons.

well now... layered armor... otherwise, nope, no reason lol

Other than having a meta chestpiece for a short amount of time (but less meta than say, Garuga Legs B) there was little reason else to fight him, especially considering he was found in the Rotten region and everyone was all about Coral, Forest and Wildspire for Namielle, Lunastra, Silver and Gold Raths, not to mention Zinogre and Garuga pieces too.

He's just a badly placed monster that got left behind very quickly once superior equipment got added to the game (and it got added in a torrential downpour thanks to the catch-up process PC had to do) and remained irrelevant due to lack of any reason to hunt him. Maybe if he was a Coral region monster he would have been hunted more, but being in the Rotten zone he was basically always going to suffer.

Rotten region is handy for what, Glavenus and Blackveil parts, possibly Radobaan in the early days because of all the investigations you could get from him (now redundant with the ability to meld lures)

No one even thinks about Brute Tigrex. Being able to use roars as a direct attack is interesting I will admit, but even then, he's not very interesting. Even his roar doesn't sound anything more than your chain smoking relative coughing up a lung lol, it doesn't sound dangerous or piercing or lethal, it's just HORRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

I guess opinions will vary but like, even a damn Tzitzi Ya-Ku is more interesting than a Brute Tigrex lol.

This....
Wow what a fight. So cheap, and so one-dimensional.
The only positive in this event quest is that we outclass it with Fatty Gear. If it was actually dangerous, no way I was farming that layered armor.

poor guy not his fault he needs some love, so lets chop his head off and mount in on our walls

doesn't the first wyverian say behemoth is the least hunted monster?

in the end it stands and fall with good quest rewards
so zino became pretty popular until we got the other 3 quests for deco grind.

I personally liked the fight. Not because his moveset was particularly interesting, (though using roars as an attack is pretty unique and i think the lore behind it is pretty cool) but because fighting him started me on the path to truly being good at the game. Which meant forcing me to learn how to dodge roars. This fight was the embodiment of "dodge this roar or fail the quest". Now obviously you don't always have to since you can attack while in its armpits and be safe for the most part, use rocksteady/temporal mantles to mitigate the effects, or simply use a weapon with a shield/counter skill to make it easier on yourself. However besides those instances there will come a time where you will need to dodge a roar and it holds a special place in my heart for that

I think there's some additional data that got released somewhere that went into greater detail. Side note: Not surprised Behemoth is on the lower bar (being a monster that is just outdated at this point, no point to fighting it outside of Drachen Layered at this point, and even after MR gear Extreme Behemoth is still nightmarishly difficult), but I'm more surprised that it isn't Leshen or Ancient Leshen.

Because it lies. Brute Tigrex is not a 'brute monster,' it's a 'flying monster.' People hated it for that, and just stopped hunting it.

Got the layered armour , got both crowns . im good .
I wish the new a.spheres had some effect , like if you upgrade armor with it , you armor get +1 to elem res in the end .

The only reasons was the chest armor. Hunt him once and you're done. Now we got better alternatives
