You need to get a streamstone. Hunt tempered elders.

if you ar estill at base world you need to hunt tempered monsters to get streamstones but if you have the iceborne expansion dont bother augmenting at astera and go to seliana and rush the story cause endgame are is where you need materials for augmenting

You have to grind the Guiding Lands Monsters, especially the Tempered ones.
Here is a guide explaining the evolution of Guiding Lands areas ->

You can also choose the Monsters you want to hunt.

You need to specify whether you're in the base game or Iceborne, because augments work differently between the two versions.

In base game, hunt tempered elder dragons via investigations to earn streamstones for your weapon.

In Iceborne, hunt monsters in the Guiding Lands.

Work on your Guiding Lands. You'll need to fight tempered monsters specifically in the Guiding Lands before you start getting drops associated with Augmentation. For the Rarity 12 weapons and armor you won't be able to augment them until you finish your MR99 quest in the Guiding Lands.

I survived early Grinding Lands (specifically Gold Rathian killing) by using a Heavy Bowgun with three shield mods on it. Had the damage to kill the stuff there quickly and easily, and the shields helped keep me alive, although once I discovered the awesome power of Divine Blessing 5 I switched back to melee and have remained there since.

But yes the Guiding Lands is a crazy place and you'll die often until you've got better equipment, don't worry about it too much. I remember the first time I went hunting a Tempered Lunastra there, the whole team was just carting left right and centre it was so bad it was funny...but with properly kitted out gear the carts come way down.

Best thing you can do is put Fortify on your gear, faints don't mean much in the Guiding Lands anyway, but at least with Fortify you can turn them to your advantage...well, the first two anyway.

you could go for 3 piece teostra + 2piece raging brachy
don't know if you can handle him already

viper tobi cb is r10 so it is your earliest option to get health augment on a mr weapons
needs temp ordogaron parts from gl

or simply let you carry straight to fati and grind his gear with plunderblade.
