Stories is a seperate thing, but they always alternated between handheld and main platform titles. Not to mention they often said "this is the LAST thing for MHW" even when they announced this patch not too long ago. If they had plans, they would need to MASSIVELY increase power in that expansion, because of how powerful Fatalis stuff is
Both are on Nintendo Switch.
The former is the standard kind of gameplay while the latter is sorta like Pokemon.
The product lifecylce for Monster Hunter World has ended.
Iceborne is the only planned expansion as per the same format it has been for the past 16 or so years. Generally, 1 game 1 expansion.
The lifecycle of Iceborne has also ended as the plan has always been to support the products (World and Iceborne) for one year each.
As for any potential exploration in the New World, just like the recent Fatalis update where we went back to the Old World, the entire game universe is connected. So, if they ever want to explore the 2 spots on the map, it can always be in another game.
No.
Get over it.
Third expansion for world? Please tell me where the second one is since there won't be any more content added to world.
With false statements your posts looks like a troll but whatever
False statements when i never claimed any of it to be completely true unlike every person who felt the need to comment and thinks they are part of the dev group cause they read something the devs said.
Wishful thinking aside there won't be anything more to world besides maybe event quests.
At most another world like title in 5 years or so.
What a great bait. Even argued about the issues the engine has for the PC port.
I doubt they're going to do that though, and I really doubt they're going to randomly decide to keep adding content to World which is already old and tired and ready to be put to bed at this point in favour of a newer game coming along. We're already so powerful and geared out that a fresh restart is what is in order, not more expansion packs, as tempting as it would be to have stuff like a beach with crabs and a jungle with insectoids etc.
Save the cool stuff for a better game built with a better engine with better hardware in mind.
I won't presume to know your background. But as somebody with a dev background and a programmig background, I feel pretty confident saying that it would be foolish to continue supporting this engine. The dev team likely don't want to continue to be associated with such an unoptimized engine, and the share holders most assuredly want them to be working on the next big thing. In game production (not development but production) the general consensus is that a sequel is always better than expansions; an expansion pulls in less money than a full game, and it can only be sold to the existing userbase. With a sequel, everybody is a potential new customer.
Why did Nintendo stop making and releasing DLC for Breath of the Wild, despite the facy that it was so popular and profitable? The answer is because they wanted to make BotW2. With the exception of live service games, this is how all game production has always worked.
