Minor issue with BBQ spit.

As the title says i have an issue, i can not remove meat from the spit, no matter how hard i try, i read the tutorial and checked the wiki and both indicate that right click on the mouse will remove the meat, i tried timing it, i tried spamming the button, i tried holding it down, the meat always burns, i can't even take it off too early.

I know this is really minor and in all likelihood i will never use the cooked meat, but i still want to be able to do it if i ever need to.

Am i just real stupid and misunderstanding something relating to the timing or are the game and wiki lying and the button prompt is different, if anyone can clarify this for i'd appreciate it immensely.

You should see available control options in right upper corner of the screen.

For me removing meat is done with F button.

Also timing is really easy, after specific part of melody (two notes in the middle) you just wait for 0.2-0.5s and then take off. After tiny adjustment you'll get it right every time.

Thanks for the heads up.i'll give this a look and see what button i'm supposed to be pressing. Why the game tutorial would tell me the wrong button though is baffling.

It might be because you rebinded the keys, but as I dont use KBM, idk for sure.

I am using the default keybindings, so not sure what caused the tutorial to be wrong, i guess perhaps the defaults for the game may have changed since launch and the tutorial was never updated.

Just wanted to add to this. If I recall correctly the meat should turn 2 and a half times on the spit then darken in colour. Once it darkens it's well done.

Quick update for anyone curious, F key removes meat from the BBQ spit just as mentioned above, still don't know why the in game tutorial gives the wrong key bind, but at least i can actually cook food now instead of burn it.

An odd thing indeed but nothing more than a minor annoyance. Thanks again for everyone who chipped in with solutions, and the advice on how to time the cooking.
