For me removing meat is done with F button.
Also timing is really easy, after specific part of melody (two notes in the middle) you just wait for 0.2-0.5s and then take off. After tiny adjustment you'll get it right every time.
Thanks for the heads up.i'll give this a look and see what button i'm supposed to be pressing. Why the game tutorial would tell me the wrong button though is baffling.
I am using the default keybindings, so not sure what caused the tutorial to be wrong, i guess perhaps the defaults for the game may have changed since launch and the tutorial was never updated.
Just wanted to add to this. If I recall correctly the meat should turn 2 and a half times on the spit then darken in colour. Once it darkens it's well done.
An odd thing indeed but nothing more than a minor annoyance. Thanks again for everyone who chipped in with solutions, and the advice on how to time the cooking.
