How to get Frostfang barioth layered armor?
Can you even get it?
Is it an event?

More or less the same way as the rest of Frostfang's equipment. You need "Frostfang Ticket"s and they only come from "The Last White Knight" an event quest that currently isn't available iirc.

That's weird cause I did that event when it was available and the layered armor didn't show , Will do it again when it comes back

Hmm, usually stuff shows up once you've acquired the first/primary material.

The full material list (per set) is:
5x Frostfang Ticket
3x Silverwhite Frostfang
5x Spiritvein Solidbone
1x Great Spiritvein Gem

Is it possibly you've never acquired one of the above?

Something you may be getting confused by that is there is a USJ event quest against an untempered Frostfang ("USJ: Ballet of Frost"), But the tickets only come from the previously mentioned quest ("The Last White Knight"), which is against a tempered Frostfang.

I wasn't MR100 when I did it so I never had Great spiritvein gems
That might be why I didn't see it.
Or I did do the USJ one.
either way I will just have to wait till the event pops back again
