Looking for the best Bowguns for the following:

LBG:
Normal 2 Rapid - Taroth Assault Blitz
Normal 3 - R Brachy
Spread 2 Rapid - Fatalis / FF Barioth
Spread 3 - FF Barioth
Pierce 2 Rapid - Fatalis / Safi Bolt
Pierce 3 - Safi Aqua
Sticky - Safi Aqua
Slicing - Fatalis
Fire - Kjaar / Alatreon
Water - Safi Aqua
Thunder - Alatreon
Ice - Alatreon
Dragon - Fatalis

HBG:
Normal 3 - Vor Buster
Spread 3 - Vor Buster (safi burst if using shield)
Pierce 3 - Vor Buster (safi pierce if using shield)
Sticky - Demonlord Beastbuster
Slicing - Vor Buster
Cluster - Zorah / Vor Buster

Spread 3 without shield - Vor buster
Spread 3 before fatalis - zinogre/safi burstcannon
Spread 3 with shield- zinogre/safi burstcannon
Pierce 3 - Vor buster
Pierce 3 before fatalis - Kadachi/Safi snipecannon
Sticky- Demonlord beastbuster(furious rajang)
Slicing- vor buster...? (not sure)
Cluster- vor buster...? (not sure)
Normal 3 - vor buster

Lbg (Don't know much about this one but...)
Sticky- Garuga/SJho/Brachy have the same rapid fire sticky 2 the diffrence are auguments and base attack.
All elemetal ammos- Alatreon dominator or maybe the right kjaar lbg but alatreon seems like the better choice.
Slicing-Fatalis depths (rapid fire)
Pierce 2 - probably fatalis depths
Spread 2 - also probably fatalis depths

RN2 Taroth Assault Blitz
Sticky 3/Status Safi Aquashot (It has sleep and paralysis too.)
Water Safi Aquashot (MUST BE a separated gun from Sticky 3. You can't make the best of Water and Sticky 3 at the same time.)
Fire/Thunder/Ice Alatreon Dominator

Dragon isn't really viable as you can carry only 13 Dragon Shot including ingredients. The one thing I can think of that this thing is useful for is cheesing Fatalis head breaks when it falls down. You need to restock every 13 shots, so there are better ways to deal dmg.

Correcting the above post that suggests Alatreon Dominator for Water. Aquashot remains mathematically the best Water gun.

And I insists that Aquashot is also mathematically the best Sticky 3 LBG there is.

People have already done math for both builds.

i was thinking about rapid fire sticky 2's and somehow totaly forgot aquashot exists.

Sticky 2 RF is not as viable as Sticky 3. Only as a transitional gun until you get Sticky 3 for the following reasons:

When modded to max, both deals about the same damage.

BUT

Sticky 2 RF has much higher recoils. You need wider window to exploit.

In order to deal the same damage, BOTH Sticky 2 Shots MUST hit. This isn't always possible in fast moving monsters like Fatalis, Rajang, or Yian Garuga. Especially in Fatalis' case, you can get killed.

Sticky 2 RF has lower KO values.

RN3 is Lightbreak Gun. BUT it's extremely uncomfortable to use the same way R Sticky 2 is uncomfortable to use. EXTREMELY high recoil. BOTH shots must hit. You must be close to deal good damage. Bad reload times too.

Well slicing isn't entirely a meme. I find slciing best for self healing when using a potion would be a waste, and your spread/piercing shots won't do enough damage.

So many blade users go for the head. Who else is gonna cut the tail? Plenty of hunts that I've been in which would have gone without a tail cut had I not brought slicing ammo; after the tail cuts, THEN I switch to sticky/spread for DPS, but only after the tail cut.
