What gear did yall use to kill alatreon for the first time.

I've been fighting Alatreon for a while now, and I mean a while. I've done probably close to 30 attempts, with only one successful hunt (due to the fact that the people helping me where crazy good). I was wondering what kind of gear is best for fighting Alatreon, and any tips aside from using elemental and hitting the horns off. Kinda struggling, so any help is greatly appreciated.

if you want actual tips, get evade extender, get either resuscitate or 2 or 3 evade window, or get divine bless 3/5. Pump your elemental, go for the frontal claws never the back ones, try to hit the head as much as you can. Topple it to the wall when it's near it. Mount it with Feline Rider and glider mantle

Pretty sure i just used a Kjarr glaive on a standard Agi7+MT build. I made two Safi SnS sets with 3pc Safi and 2pc Velk and used that for a while, and now I just use bow.

Kjarr Decay LS IIRC, wasn't optimal at all, the second clear was with my main weapon (CB), Savage Axe with Kjarr Ice destroys him.

Hit the front legs until it goes dragon mode, then hit the head. You can't break horns until dragon mode.

From what I can recall it's ice environmental change attacks where it spews down onto the ground or spews up into the air are both great opportunities to clutch and soften the head. Works for fire breath spew down attack as well.

Kjarr Ice LS and full Safi gear did the first kill after 50+ attempts on Alatreon, mostly because of the free 40% affinity from Safi set bonus that works well with the built-in Critical element.

Another alternative (i haven't tried yet but thought of) is the Azure Era with Silver los set bonus, meaning True Crit Element (also saves you the time from farming Silver los). I assume if you could add in level 3 resistor along with any dps skill and a Fire/Ice weapon depending on the starting mode of Alatreon, it could do the job gear-wise.

Namielle Gamma Helm and Gloves
R. Brachy Legs Alpha
DB 5 + The stamina skills and blight resistance on the Namielle armour made for an extremely comfy set that was still comfortably able to meet the elemental check and break horns. Having said that the fight did take a while.

I mostly use LS, but i also occationally use gunlance, although I havent seen anyone use a gunlance once while fighting alatreon

My first clear was a duo with a comfy safi + kjarr dragon db's
100% affinity without wex or agi, 3 stam surge & Health augment
Evade window & high element res is recommended if you're struggling to keep alive
Ice/fire DB or CB if you're having a hard time getting the elemental check

kulve armour and an alatreon LS, which i got after basically spending the entire day of his release dying repeatedly to him in multiplayer

kjarr chargeblade (fire or ice) and safi set. then i used Alatreon chargeblade to kill Fatalis as well, still used the safi armor until got fatalis armor
