This event quest is way too hard

I mainly enjoy this game cause I Can play online and join random hunts, have people join my game to beat monsters that are too annoying/hard to beat.
but this stupid quest? forces you to solo Rathalos, and its 100 percent Impossible for me.
Just for this I would never watch that stupid movie, but back on topic....am I missing something here? Is this quest just some kind of annoying joke?

It's actually pretty easy. I used LS and and just used wallbangs whenever possible. The dual blades you get are raw based so damage kinda sucks with them and range is short so hitting might be difficult even though rathalos is massive.

A lot of rathalos attacks are pretty telegraphed making them easy to foresight slash. Use a long range weapon if you have trouble.

but why would they be dumb enough to design a even quest around soling in a pretty much online game...Its dumb. Not everyone is a hardcore MH player

The rathalos is actually really easy to trip. I had trouble at first, but once I tripped him the first time I was basically chain-tripping him after that. I used the hunting horn btw.

well you wont miss anything by not doing the mission anyways. gives you an armor with defensive capabilities early on Master Rank (it is on par with defender armor on Low Rank - High Rank) and a Dual Sword or something

and yea monster hunter is a single player game with multiplayer capabilities.

That Rathalos is legit way too big to hit you half the time. Assuming you're using the DBs, just tenderize the legs and stick to them. The only attack you have to watch out for is the stomp, and that's fairly easy to predict.

Rhatalos too hard? What even?! It`s is still a master rank quest, even if his hitboxes are garbage, he`s certanly not hard. Has low af hp as well.

... All it does is just restrict you to a gear set. Rathalos is easy, just keep your distance from any actual dangerous parts and you'll probably be fine. Use large weapons such as the Switch Axe, or try to do that spinal strike spin on the dual blades. Just run it into a wall whenever possible, and use weapons that strike vertically. It isn't too bad, I was just mostly having a laugh at the absolute unit as I ZSD'ed it with my Switch Axe.

ok kinda got me for a moment. i mean, we got some pretty difficult event quests out here... but a rathalos? a literal normal rathalos? no way dude. there's just no way

I think it's decently clear that OP is used to being carried. I mean, the only time a Rathalos is required is for the assigned quest, and it isn't hard to imagine someone decimating a LR Rathalos for them. It's possible this is the first time they really had to face a Rathalos, and even with its neutered moveset it's too "hardcore" for them to handle.
