how are you suppose to fight something solo that one hits you with almost ever attack? just getting unfair at this point with the monsters

capcom needs to stop prioritizing end game content around hardcore speedrunners and elitists cause these are the cancer of this community and are like a unsignificant part of the playerbase... you're not suppose to dedicate content to like 2% of the playerbase
It not a speedrunner-only or elitist.
Lets talk about this with heavy artillery:
- cannon : 4500 + free knockdown
- 2 roaming balista : 4000 each sum up is 8000
- 2 binding
- dragonator : 6600 + free knockdown
We have : 4500 + 8000 + 6600 + 2 binding + 2 knockdown = 19100 + 2 binding + 2 knockdown.
- Lets not forget horn break = another knockdown.
- fatalis health is 69.000-19100= 49900 even lower than Alatreon.
You can get it done by 30 minutes even casual.
I mean if you cant do 40 damage per second then how can you slay the other monster. 40x60x20= 48000
Note: Even 30 dps can finish fatty off by 28 minutes
Most noticeable window for damage is : cone fire breath, belly slam, 3 continuous fire ball, tail sweep.
As in phase 3: 270 fire breath, left n right fire breath,3 charged continuous fire breath, cone fire breath, belly slam, tail sweep.
Some need position like : fire sweep( Gs can do TCS to its head), bite(one bite inflict burn), roar( engage), front fire sweep, 2 feets walking fire sweep.
Smoke bomb will be useful if fatalis in flying mode.

what weapon /armor are you using? are you using the cannons+ ballista? what exactly kills you? give some detail so maybe i can help

He does about 50% - 80% of your HP with every attack, and about 33% if Divine Blessing kicks in, assuming you have the appropriate gear level (MR 100+ augmented armour so you have 1000+ physical defence and at least 20 Fire Resistance)

He's perfectly soloable, although I haven't done it because I'm generally lazy and uninspired, but my LBG friend has done a few solo runs at this point no problem, and that's with the reduced physical resistance malus that they get too.

Wait are you talking about the solo section at the start of the Special Assignment? Where you've got the A-Lister spamming dust of life at you the moment you drop below 50% HP? All you have to do is ghillie mantle and shoot it with cannons man, that's nothing but an interactive cutscene! Once you clear that part you can just leave and restart the quest and it'll be back to its normal self, so take all the time you like.

But make sure you've got some augmented equipment if you don't already before seriously giving Fatalis a go, it'll help you out a lot!

If you're getting oneshot, you need to start upping your defenses. Fully augment your armor, get health boost, maybe use fire resistance if you're getting melted. Divine blessing isn't a bad idea either, I've seen a lot of people run 2pc Gold Rathian armor for DB5, but that's still RNG and could potentially not save you from a one shot.

Just jack up your defends, it will make the fight so much longer but better than get 1 hit kill bs. :lunar2019piginablanket:

it is late game content what have you expected
don't try with armor less than 1k or enjoy the cartfest if you suck at dodging

headbreack helps with reducing dmg in stage 3, charged shots will still ohko until you had broken the head for a second time.
River Victor Oct 12, 2020 @ 8:15pm
He's not impossible to solo. He can be killed under 10 minutes solo even.

If you have trouble dodging, Evade Extender and Evade Window is life saver. Especially Evade Extender for gunners, who get bombarded frequently with immense AOEs, especially in the last phase (doubly so with blue flames).

I don't really know much about the cannon strategy really, in my group I was always the guy tenderising the head before he fell down, but I do know that if you use Heavy Artillery and a Ghillie Mantle, load both cannons and then shoot them one after the other and enough of them hit him, it does a good amount of damage and knocks him down, which gives you a lot of opportunity to damage him.

When using the cannons during that initial first solo part you can get through it really fast, you only need to scratch him really, it's more of a tutorial before you unlock SOS matchmaking.

My advice (based on what I've seen my friends do) is slot Heavy Artillery into a Ghillie Mantle, wear it and then load both cannons, and then fire one (it'll break your mantle, yeah) and then put another mantle on with Heavy Artillery slotted into that (I.E Rocksteady) run to the other one and try to get shots off with that too, if most / some connect he will go down easily enough.

Fatalis tends to like standing up when you're on the barrier, he'll do some melee attacks or throw some fireballs your way, but he presents a clear target to cannon, just need to get the timing right, it can be a pain.

Normally you shoot Fatalis when he's unaware of you at the start of the quest (everyone drops down in Ghillie Mantles, etc) but I guess that's not an option for that hunt due to its nature, with the A-Lister there fighting him already etc.

You can do it, anyway!

Also sorry I'm not really a friend request kind of person, I usually only have people I know on my list, I'm kinda anti-social. It's not you, it's me!

You should check out the video by con's on how bait out the cone fire. I did the same thing and it works. Not the fastest run though
I love doing Fatalis. Let me know if you still need help.
I'm currently farming it so I can help you kill it if you want.

I'd say just keep trying and learn the moves. I attempted solo more than 50 times before learning how to dodge the moves and did my first solo for the special assignment. Evade window and extender helped me a lot in the hunt.
