They'd just end up with a garbage fire like the 3/3u underwater combat again.
I personally find underwater combat should be in MH, lore wise and gameplay wise. If capcom really invests some resources into water only and water/land hybrid monster, with decent underwater weapon combat mechanics that would be a dream.
maybe we'll get Plesi someday too... lol
I would like to see them take another shot at underwater combat, Lagiacrus in Generations was a lame fight due to being gimped and I'd also love to see Dire Miralis remade, he has one of the best themes and arena in the series.
But the reasons I'd want It back aren't limited to nostalgia, I'd like to see how monsters like Mizutsune would be like underwater, maybe they could even put Zamtrios underwater.
And if a monster can be made to float by attaching helium balloons to it, it's considered a flying type in the Research Commissions eyes!
Poor, poor Dodogama...
Remember seeing they tried underwater but having issue and thus they dropped it. I m sure with new console gen and PC hardware, they will upgrade their engine and finally make underwater fighting more feasible...
