Glowing bugs

Dear Hunters,

I am beginner and i am wondering what to do with these glowing bugs on trees i can reach. Shoting did not help. How csn i catch them what purpose they have?

I think you're referring to wedge beetles? If you aim your slinger at them and press B (I think keyboard control is right-click?), you can attach and swing from them. You can use them to get around a little quicker, maybe avoid an attack, or perform a jump attack off of them.

Like Suzaku said you can grapple on to them, it's C + Right-click on PC if you're using a melee weapon. You can't catch them, they're only used to navigate the map.
