About the review bombing
On the one hand, I want to say you guys are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid, Capcom has nothing to do with the script of that movie.

ON THE OTHER HAND, enough noise has been made so that Capcom is actually going after the makers of the movie.

So there is good and bad with this situation.

Just throw a positive review with the punk on in.

Problem solved, they either grow a pair or they have to censor the whole internet. :ne:

They should review bomb the utter garbage movie not the game,Capcon only sold movie licence to Paul Andersson.Well if they still giving him their green light for him after so many years of lame RE movies their are so much braindead.
Anyway the best boycot you can do is to not go to cinema for this garbage.

Frankly if this kicks a boot up Capcom's arse to stop working with Paul W. S. Anderson that'll certainly be a major upside to this situation.
Unfortunately, Capcom has zero control over Anderson's making of movies, because he owns the legal rights to making Monster Hunter movies.

Indeed, if they want "everyone to be responsible" for it, Paul Andersons RE series should be review bombed too.
He's not NOT related to the line after all

From what I read, the Chinese government censor the internet very heavily, even cutting the internet access from people who see the tag, "Tiananmen Square massacre" so, as a strategy, people copypasta all the censored words that the chinese government find offensive which causes their internet to be cut off.
Sometimes, It works, like in world of warcraft, other times it doesn't because they have VPN.
It's an incredible meta strategy if you want to get rid of some pesky Chinese players off the servers.
That's why you see copy pastas on the MH reviews. It's supposed to kick Chinese players off who are trying to review bomb the game.

KeNnEtH, a one of our fellow MH player, stated that it has to do something with the racial injustice the Chinese faced during the western movement in the US, where they worked mostly on their knees.
Well, this is my TLDR for his statement

Ah good to know, thanks! Still, review bombing the game is not ok.

I agree, I think this is being blown way out of proportion, I mean yeah the joke was bad but the game shouldn't suffer for it.

there is nothing good in censorship

China got Tiananmen Square footage cut fully from the COD too and was like a 5 second clip of it

which is irony because of it's tagline of "Know your history"
This counts for many countries you want to do business with them, so better play by their rules or enjoy incoming ban

Same ♥♥♥♥ happened pretty often in the early years of video gaming in germany.
Using svastika or other symbols of the nazi regime constantly triggered game bans until lobby work of the industry slowly ended the nonsense

How the f* the pathetic dad pun

Asian dude says: "What kind of knees are these? Chi-knees" is offensive? ,

i have seen a lot of snowflakes in my time but damn this takes the cake

No, it's the way they tried to translate the joke in the subtitles that made it offensive apparently. It made Chinese folks who don't understand English assume the spoken joke was racist.

https://screenrant.com/monster-hunter-movie-racist-joke-china-controversy/

There is also an old children's poem "Chinese, Japanese, Dirty Knees, Look at These"
that is horribly racist and used to be used to insult Asian people that the translation can easily be read to be referring to even if that wasn't the intent.

So yeah, blame the translators.

Also, as an Asian, not from China or Japan, but Laos, I am pretty proud of my dirty knees, its shows I am a hard worker

I'm Chinese and I'm not even mad. People like to think having to work with dirt is an insult. My grandpa immigrate to my current country having only his ass and now he owns a quarry. Not minding working with dirt and now owning mines and quarries means we've come far.

Mainland Chinese take everything too far. They think they can be right just because they have outrage and enough numbers to wreck things. Review bombing is a perfect example.

I don't care about review bomb. Soon Steam will remove this ♥♥♥♥ and all of those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ will have wasted their time.
