I'm not sure if you unlock her as a full body layered, but the armor itself is available in male and female models for your normal character to wear. It also comes with the Nergi set bonus for some reason, but it's a pretty solid set for lower-end MR. One item given out during the event is an Earplugs+ deco, which is kinda pointless to most I'm sure but it's a nice bonus for Insect Glaive who are already running Flinch Free 3. That's the info I've seen at least.

The Rathalos you hunt is larger than gold crown and is supposed to have something unique in its fight.

It is just mediocre trash still better than nothing.

There aren't so many releases in the monster genre every year.

The flip side of the coin is that the main reason the plot is ♥♥♥♥ is because they shoe-horned in some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ involving "our reality" rather than sticking with the franchise. They had plenty of material to work with, if you remove the military aspect from the two videos I posted it's much more faithful to the Monster Hunter franchise and they could have built a solid story based around this, but they chose to base the foundation of their story on material unrelated to the source. If someone has never played Monster Hunter and is interested in trying it out after seeing the movie what would they think if there is no magic and the story has nothing to do with the real world? The movie presents them with aspects that aren't Monster Hunter, so how would this draw in a potential fan to the series any more or less than this janky ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ would draw in an existing fan to see the movie?

In all honesty I'm more pissed off because the first Monster Hunter movie we're getting is a traditional Hollywood meme of mashing some aspects of the game with some aspects of the real world and hoping the passionless ♥♥♥♥ produced is worth a ticket sale. Rather than getting a "Monster Hunter" movie we're just getting a recasted sequel to the "Super Mario Brothers" movie.

Filmmaking is expensive.
Military has the biggest household budget and a propaganda department in Hollywood.
It is always the deal, you want some tax money for your fancy art project, simply put some military grunts into the film and you get access to cash and equipment or go the harder way and find Investors, who have faith into your project
