Mh is all about the experience, so i dont think it will be that great just watching it. But, i think it will be an entertaining action film for those who likes watching movies i guess.

Just imagining the mh ppl are self-aware and all start using hbg sticky ammo and the whole movies all abt the mobs fainting haha..

Kinda excited for it ngl, but i think it will be cringey for those who are very used to playing mh for a long time... I mean that db part is already kinda cringe, if they highlighted something like a gs, cb, sw, or an ig i think it will be pretty cool...

Anw, the movie had better have a fatalis in it... it would make so much more sense... in a sense
Capcom has been pretty good at listening to fans regarding the games and the direction they're taking them since the Fatalis update. You'd think Capcom would have picked up on all the hate being thrown at the movie by now. Do Japanese fans of the game really want a trash movie like this? I'd heard the RE movies did much better over seas, so it's the closest explanation I can come up with. There's gotta be some cultural difference for ♥♥♥♥ movies like this to fly. For all I know dumb actions movies like this are equivalent to slapstick comedy over seas.
Can't wait for the TOTAL WAR movie coming out ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Dual Blades vs Machine Guns

Movies overseas generally do better because the quality of production impresses foreigners compared to there own films. When you look at films in Japan and there film industry in general its comparatively low quality in almost every respects (not always but as a general rule its the case). So when they see really realistic GCI and competently done choreographed action ofc they are going to lap it up. They also have a trend nowadays where they don't hire actors but rather pop stars as there leading rolls simply to get people in seats and you can imagine they are not good at acting. As bad as this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ terrible cash grab looks and is going to be its certainly better put togeather than a vast majority of Japanese production again simply because the amount of money being put into it.

Cliche American Military Lines and Acting thrown into monster hunter? :steamfacepalm:

The female thing is an interesting take. I know a few people that like playing as females but I prefer playing as a male in games because I like to feel like there is a sense of myself in it to relate to as if I'm the character. But yeah todays climate for hoping for a good movie or even games is next to nothing.

Gore magala DOES NOT HAVE EYES
Need to ask? Mr. Anderson is well known to take any already built universe and scrap everything in it to use the general idea only while inserting a bunch of nonsense no one asked for just to fit his wannabe actress of a wife. This guy is a disgrace in that regard, thankfuly he makes movies and not games. He's the the Uwe Boll of this generation, that's all.

That said, I know it may make some degree of success with the ignorant crowd like the RE movies did, but all in all it''ll suck.

The CGI will be the only good thing about the movie.
If one of the military guys pulls out a rotary grenade launcher with loaded with stickies I might die laughing.

Most Tokusatsu shows do have a shoe-string budget so even middling American TV Shows on the CW are a significant step up, that is for sure. Even American fan films may trump their professional production values at times.
Even Toho, the creators of the Godzilla franchise, would have difficulties trying to raise the scratch for their own equivalent to Michael Bay's take on The Transformers.
That is one of the reasons why animation is a popular go-to for action stories in Japan.
