Make death per player in multiplayer
When the game came out I logged 400 hours in the game and eventually got pissed off that 80% of the games i joined are with underpowered noobs that keeps failing my mission.....

recently i came back to iceborne and logged 100 more hours and i see the problem remains...

if the game had a proper multiplayer system i could live with the "get together in advance and work as a team" concept - but lets face it, this game is 99% random SOS flares as part of prehistoric multiplayer system...

such a casual random multiplayer system shouldnt fail the entire team and ruin the experience - death should be per player and after a player dies certain amount of times he should be kicked out and that slot should be "locked" to anyone else....

That means absolutely nothing anymore. Difficulty scales back down when the player count drops.

It has since the Iceborne patch in January.

They should do it one cart per player. Once you cart you then spectate the other players. Imagine being the last one standing trying to kill it.
i mean Dauntless essentially does this.

Are u preferring to particular difficult quest? If so yes, many people probably join to be carried.

Ah, the pro high octane champion master player thread of the week... Bet this dude always loses on multiplayer games and the others are always to be blamed, because he's the best kid on the block and everyone else are suckers.

Just what I was thinking. There seems to be a common denominator in all his multiplayer games. Him. Weird that.

Did I miss being able to publically humiliate a bad hunter?
Lol, 3 deaths per player wtf?

No thanks.

Just git gut.

This is an issue, especially in Iceborne since majority of players reached it via Defender gear, but I stopped trying and just finished required hunts solo, only to join randoms in stuff I don't need to complete, much less stressful and much more fun. I don't cart often in regular hunts but seeing the same person use all carts in a quick succession is stupid, they should at least know how to properly dodge away and heal at this point.

Am I the only person that doesn't have an issue with randoms? I mean, I'll get the occasional brain dead moron that makes me want to abandon, but that's not a common thing. I'm sure the amount of sticky hunters out there helps keep things simple, but even in hunts without sticky gunners (I kick them out of my T3 investigations) things usually go smoothly enough.

CAPCOM already make death per player in multiplayers

They give you the Guiding Land.

If you cart, only your rewards is reduced. The more you cart, the lesser your rewards.

Why is it an issue if its just ya know, a good old doze of git gut?

Majority of players didnt got there using defender gear and the only hard parts really is really aletreon and silver/gold ian and los.

If you sommehow manage to get to those with defender gear you're actually a god.

So what happens if the host dies?

The SOS is a call for help from the host.

So, if the host dies the "individual death quota", what happens?

Also, if everyone gets more than 1 death quota (which would still be 1 more than current's team-based quota of 3 unless Felyne Safeguard is active), what's to stop pre-made teams from exploiting Fortify and just have the whole team suicide till the entire team is buffed to the max?

In classic gaming terms, 2-Player Mode B rather than 2-Player Mode A.
That has its own pitfalls that they'd have to navigate if Capcom added it to a modern co-op game, the largest of which being the possibility of players joining SOS calls only to let the host die then finishing the session without them.
