Can someone explain to me how this quest is unlocked cuz I've looked it up but Boaboa will not start following me or anything, do you need to do something else before this?

don't you have to complete other tribes quests first? like you have to get all gadgets first then you can do that i think? i did it like 8 months ago so i dont remember so well

Yes this is what I was missing, I found a comment on youtube saying you need every palico gagdet first, so yeah that means befriend every tribe ever. Ill try this now, thank you anyway!
