Ammo in MHW

Why are LBG and HBG at such a disadvantage in this game when it comes to mission like Arena and Aletreon, just because the devs decided that given them a higher ammo count isnt fair.

It's also really weird as you can do 99% of the game with farcasters and just keep on restocking, so it makes no sense to limit some ammo types to such low numbers. And then it just makes some of these arena fights not worth the hassle with LBG/HBG unless you're playing solo. It makes sense to limit healing items in my opinion, but they're kind of soft locking these weapons because of sloppy design. If a weapon is built for anything but normal ammo you can't do jack squat after you used your supplies.

says who LBG/HBG is disadvantage in arena or against Alatreon? i farmed Alatreon with LBG

LBG is fine. You can use the Lunastra Ruiner LBG. Should have plenty of ammo to keep you thru the fight. I found HBG quite difficult for Solo, unless you wanna use pierce.

Because they are braindead and overpowered weapons when used properly and for the alatreon fight you should always use elemental weapons so ditch the LBG or the HBG and use a blademaster weapon.

or play like you want to play but the game will be harder because some weapons or more effective/efficient against some monsters.

Yes i know HBG is currently on of the best speedrun weapon, but the speedrunners dont have ammo problem, no only the normal player have and is it really the right thing that LBG and HBG are getting crippled in some mission just, because i cant shoot because iam out of ammo.

LBG and HBG are the best weapons in the game, its okay if they have like 2 bad matchups.

The problem isnt the monster its the mission, its like having a greatsword and being not able to sharpen because i can only bring one wetstone and its used up.

Iam not complaining that safi has bad hitzones for bow,hbg and lbg, iam complaining that i am becoming a sitting duck in some mission because i have no ammo and why is it that in past mh game wetstone was limit but it was change ?

don't tell me you didn't bring the raw material to craft the ammo in the quest?

you need gather material for ammo then craft it while battle, that way you wont run out of ammo, make sure you use ammo lv2 or lv3, because other than that it would run out quicky or use build that has spareshoot.

do you know spareshot skill exists and how to properly manage ammo?

All Bowguns have Normal Ammo 1, which is infinite.

Along with their regenerating Special Ammo, and Clutch Claw attacks.
