I can't find the freaking Downy Crake

I tried so many times, looking awaiy, turning, looking away, turning, on Wildspire 1, 4 and 8 and on Ancient Forest 1 and its impossible. I just want the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ achievement please what am I doing wrong, is this still possible??

Iirc there was a food skill that increases the spawn chance for the rare endemic life.

Make sure your camera don’t look at Aptonoth or Apceros . When they spawn they will make a sound clue . Eat Zoomaster for better spawning chance .

Try the event "Skyward Snipers": from time to time, you'll find Downy Crakes on the back of a Grandfather Mantagrell in zone 12. Snipe him down with your sling shot and use the net to capture the Crakes as they try to run away.

You can also do it in exploration ofc but afaik, the event grants an higher chance of finding them.

Np: as I said, it's possible to find them in exploration too and at least is another place to search for Crake :)

I'm pretty sure it's not 100% as claimed, but it does work if you try a couple of time. This was what I did before iceborne.

dont fokus on getting them. wrong mentality. instead try to find a farming quest preferably for decorations as that takes along time to do by default and just keep checking for em everytime you start the decoquest.

greatest jagres/names lavashit and mr tempered doggo all work for this. youll run into them sooner or later.

i got it a couple days ago took me like an hour, maybe i got very lucky
what i did was change between forest 1 and wildspire 6, just running up to the herbivores and changing as soon as i saw no birbs on them.
but yeah it still very possible to get the achievement that way

I finnnallly found these buggers, did so many 30 min sessions of trying to look for them. Finally got them within 30 minutes this time of going to Ancient forest camp 1, ghillie suit, run up and check the herbivores, port up to camp 8, check the 3 herbivores there.. then switch to WW camp 1.. look at those.. and swapped back and forth.. when it wasn't clear weather I went to Rotten vale to check the mosswine piggies for the rare bristly crake.. rinse repeat.. got both the crakes.. hurray!

After playing it for so long I figured it out... Wear the damnnnnnn dowry crake layered head armor!! sheeesh.... Chances of them appearing is close to 100%
