Best pre-iceborne gear for Behemoth?

As title says. Whats the best armor to take him on?

Depending on ur weapon type. Some go for teostra 3 piece, lunastra set or even xenojiva set bonus.

arch tempered monster armor of course.

pretty much any arch tempered monster armor sets that fi the weapon type you want to use. i think i used Teo gamma mix with some Kulve or something along those lines. then for AT nerg i went after him with a kjarr thunder hammer and a set built around beefin that weapon up as much as possible damagewise with a bit of surviveability. then 2 days later IB dropped and all that effort became moot. xD.

I use the greatsword and right now my current armor that I have on is the kulve taroth armor (forgot which set but it's the third set out of the three)

I'd definitely go for teostra masters touch for GS in high rank prior to behemoth. I think it goes well with the Wyvern Ignition.
