Actually, Alatreon stage is designed that wall crush is not used. Except the start of the quest, there is almost no chance to use this technique.
Find pattern that you can target head easily. Usually, AOE lightening attacks gives a little chance to hit the head if you respond fast enough. And both fire and ice breath vertically shooting toward ground are good chance to use claw action and stack head damage. Keep your distance to Alatreon and do not try running away too much. Required damage is really low. Just keep focus on catching delay of attack motions.
